Lighten Up fabricage is lichtgewicht, duurzaam en waterafstotend. The color changes with the light, but the bag is beautiful in any shade.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this for an upcoming trip and couldn’t be happier with the selection. It’s roomy yet compact and durable. There are several pockets and zippers that can carry a laptop, iPad, eye glasses and a change of clothes and a bottom storage pocket for a pair of shoes. The water resistant fabric is great. One thing that struck me was the color changes in various light settings. I added the photos as I’ve seen others question or comment on how the pictures vary from the actual product. It’s all in the lighting.

Not what I expected, but worth keeping

The initial product description says that the bag measures 18x13x9 inches. In the product description chart, it says the bag measures 8.25x12.5x17.75 inches. I’m a fan of packing cubes, so I hoped I would be able to fit two XL Shacke packing cubes (one for myself and my husband), which measure 17.5x12.75x4 inches each, but the bag only accommodates one cube, and I have to squish in the corners. If I’m BRINGING my laptop, the large VB cosmetic bag I pack my toiletries in fits in the shoe compartment, but there would be no room for any additional shoes. Adding the laptop charger would be a very tight squeeze. With the laptop and Large size cube, measuring 13.75x12.75x4, I can fit clothes, and toiletries in the main compartment, since the cosmetic bag fits on top, if I remove the hard sunglasses case. If I DON’T bring my laptop, I can fit the cosmetic bag at the bottom of the main compartment, if I load it in first, and the XL cube, but no extra shoes. If I use the Large cube, I can fit clothes, toiletries and a pair of Sperry boat shoes (size 6.5) all in the main compartment (again, without the sunglasses case). FYI: You can make more room at the top of the bag if you unzip the shoe compartment, and shake everything down, but then it just looks bad. The pros: My 17” laptop fits! (Barely); total dimensions 10.5x15”, but it may affect packing other things I like that the inside is one, big cavity. The two-pocket system in the Grand backpack can fit everything with the large cube, plus my laptop, but I don’t prefer it. I can actually fit more in the Lay Flat backpack, which has built-in zipped compartments (the equivalent of an XL cube’s worth of clothes, plus my cosmetic bag, a pair of shoes, and my laptop and chargers!). I’d still only be packing for myself in that one too, though. The Grand Traveler works best for my two-XL-cube system, if you were wondering… I bought the one in wisteria. I already knew I liked the color, since I have it in the Sling backpack (which I LOVE). It’s also nice that it came with a better price. It wasn’t what I hoped it would be, but still worth keeping. The XL cube gets me a week’s worth of clothes, and the Large cube gets me 4-5 days (size 0/XS).

Must have bag for traveling as a carrying on!

This bag was very functional on my trip to Europe! Security does like to check out backpacks though! It had many compartments and is easy to access! I could get a few days on clothes in there for overnight as well as a pair of shoes in the bottoms zipper flap! That was awesome! Also the top of the bag offers a place for sunglasses where I fit in my regular glasses and sunglasses as well! I bought the black one with the purple print flowers inside! I loved the design and the color! I highly recommend this bag if you don’t mind paying the price! It’s worth it!

Great for walking to work

I bought this to walk to work at my new job. I wanted a separate compartment for my shoes, room for a change of clothes, my coffee, my lunch, an umbrella, my laptop, etc. Very comfortable even when loaded down. I bought the less popular color for a nice discount. Comparable packs were more money and boring black or navy. I've gotten lots of compliments at work and glad I treated myself to this as a little perk for walking and not driving.

Vera Bradley backpack

I prefer a backpack vs a duffle bag, & this one is PERFECT for my monthly, weekend visits to Florida, to see my grandbaby! The best part about it is, even though it's so roomy, it counts as a personal item (not a carry-on), because it fits under the seat in front of me. Love it!

Worth the money!

I bought this pack for a trip to Disneyworld. I wondered, How much better could a simple backpack be? Could it be worth the money or am I paying for a name? Well, I LOVE this pack and I would buy it again. There is a place in the bottom for a spare pair of shoes, a glasses case on top for sunglasses, the front strap allows me freedom to move quickly and comfortably when needed....when I needed to make a scheduled fast pass time for example. There are pockets everywhere. We took a shuttle so everything I needed for the day had to fit. I stuffed it full of sweaters, a blanket, water bottles, phone, tickets, wallet, sunscreen, hand sanitizers, a parka, extra shoes, extra socks, sunglasses and it was no problem! I used it again as a bag for the pool and yet again for shopping around town. I just love it!

Great for airport traveling

I bought this bag specifically for work traveling/airports, and I love it. It fits my MacBook air (with case) perfectly), it has lots of compartments and pockets to organize all of the various things I need for traveling, and fits nicely into overhead bins, even when really full. I had a hand sanitizer leak and the laptop and things in other compartments were protected nicely. Highly recommend if you are like me and don't like using a suitcase style carry on while at the airport.

Stylish, functional, and roomy

I thought about this purchase for a few weeks and I finally went for it and placed the order. I am so glad I did. I’m faculty on a college campus and always have several things to carry to and from campus. This is the perfect bag to carry my stuff hands-free and it is comfortable. When I am not using it for work, I intend to use it for travel as it has plenty of room store my essentials for a few days at a conference or a weekend get-a-away. I was hesitant because of the price, but I know I will get a lot of use out of it. The material is nice and looks of good quality. I would definitely recommend this backpack.
