Stevige aluminiumlegering: onze corrosiebestendige snelheidssteunen voor buitenboordmotoren zijn gemaakt van een aluminiumlegering en gebouwd om lang mee te gaan. Het heeft een treksterkte van 260-300 MPA waardoor het bestand is tegen roest en vervorming, zelfs onder zeewater en zoet water. Verbeterde rubberen naaf: de propeller van de buitenboordmotor is gebouwd met een rubberen naaf en 13-tands spiebanen. De slijtvaste naaf heeft ook een sterk dempend effect, ontworpen om de aandrijflijn te dempen en te beschermen tegen de meeste schokken. 13 1/4 Diameter x 17 Pitch: De twee belangrijkste afmetingen van een bootpropeller zijn diameter en pitch. Pitch is de theoretische afstand die een propeller tijdens elke omwenteling door het water zal afleggen, en diameter is de afstand over een cirkel die alle propellerbladen omvat. I have no confidence in this product

It looks pretty close to the original spitfire prop, however... I ran into problems while installing it. I will say that I have not used this in the water yet and will be trying it out this weekend if everything goes well. That said, once I can get a new Mercury Prop this thing is going into a storage bin just for a backup. Problem 1 while installing it: The Hub doesn't fit inside the prop. It says "it should slide 3/4 of the way in and then you can push or gently tap" the rest of the way. That was 100% untrue. I had to get a big socket and a rubber mallet and beat that thing in there. Even then I had to tighten the nut down on the prop to get it to seat far enough in for the outer washer to lock onto the splines. I didn't feel good about doing this at all. Problem 2: The picture... After I tightened it down to seat everything I took it apart and put that lock washer on. I tightened the prop nut down to 55 ft-lbs as instructed by Mercury. The lock washer broke both pins off as you can see in the picture. I ended up using the old one and that held up fine. That is a HUGE problem in my eyes. I've had a prop fall off, not get knocked off, come undone and fall off almost 2 miles from the dock. I NEVER want to do that again. It's pretty unforgivable in my eyes, that's a key safety feature and they cheaped out on it. Problem 3 This may not be a problem but after I put it on, it didn't spin very freely while in neutral. I did start the engine up and put it in gear to let it spin and it now feels much better but I'm a bit worried about it. As long as it doesn't fall off this weekend I think we'll be ok. If this thing does have any problems getting the boat up on plane this weekend I'll update this. It looks very close to the mercury prop so I doubt that will be an issue and my main reason for not rating it higher is the terrible fit of the hub and them skimping out on a key safety feature. That lock ring is the cotter pin for those of you that have those on other engines. The one they provided was trash. ********* Update after using it: This is certainly not a "Great" replacement for a spitfire prop. Does it work? yes it certainly does. Is it the same as a mercury Spitfire prop? NOPE, not at all. It may not be a huge difference for everyone but my boat was noticeably slower to plane with this compared to the Mercury Spitfire that I had on it. I was still able to get around the same top speed, it took ages to get there though. Is it worth the price savings you get? For most people probably and I will keep it onboard as a spare just in case but I'll be getting a Mercury prop once I can find one closer to the normal prices. Right now they're about $70 more than what I paid 18 months ago.

Tested two weekends ago!! Quick out of the chute, 2500rpm at 40mph, 1.5:1 mercruiser alpha 1 gen 2. could push 65-70. Purchased a second one as a backup... Awesome

Great value. Perfect replacement of the Mercury spitfire prop.

My first order went missing for a week. Amazon refunded and I reordered which arrived the next day. Bought it the replace the original Mercury Spitfire prop for my 2006 Mercury 60 hp four strokes outboard. The packaging was great with good instructions and all necessary components and even came with a nice pair white gloves. Prop is exactly the same dimensions as the previous Mercury spitfire that I replaced. All the components are brass alloy which I feel are even better than that of the Mercury spitfire prop which has a plastic splines. I have not yet tested out on the water yet but I have no reason to think that I will not perform as well as the original Spitfire. Will update on the performance later.

You need a big washer or something

When installing you need a super flat hub washer so this sits flat on the shat if not the propeller will suck into the sterndrive within matter of minutes. If you try to use a standard hub washer it will barely fit threads and will wobble back towards the motor.

Propeller is good quality however it did not fit the hub on the prop shaft and another hub type had to be ordered which more or less doubled the price
