Much more heavy duty than expected
This is a great portable water pump. My husband had heard positive things about the Vevor brand as they sell a variety of industrial/home use tools and other pieces of equipment. He is a property manager and knew this would come in handy both at home and at work. It is pretty straightforward to use, he drained a water heater for a client and there were no issues. At home we plan to use it to pull from a pond to water the garden. So far pleased with this product!

Probably not the best off grid choice if you have drinkable water.
I got this for off grid cabin use. The only thing I wish I saw was that this really is not for Drinking water. Now for me this is not a big deal, but I was hoping that I could use it for drinking water at some point. This will still work great for showers, toilets, and doing dishes off grid, which really is the first problem I need to solve anyway, since there is already a shallow well in place with water you don't want to drink. I guess I really just need to put in either city water, or a well, but it's just too much money at this point, so this will get me by for a couple of years.

Sturdy and portable.
Great for a portable pump. Primes quickly and runs quietly. I use to water garden from a rain catch tank. 7amp motor runs easily off small gen set. Well designed. Water resistant shelled switch. Heavy duty carry handle.

I must mention that this pump is incredibly potent. It's able to pump a greater amount of water, and at a faster rate than the pressure in my home. What I find particularly pleasing is its construction of stainless steel, unlike some pumps that are made of powder-coated cast iron. Additionally, the on/off switch is equipped with a waterproof covering, which is another positive attribute. I am confident that this pump will endure for an equally long or even longer period of time.

Stable, pumps well
I used this pump to drop the level of my pool when it fills up too much during the off season. Several rain storms had filled it almost to the skimmers, so it was time to drop the water a couple inches. These are the steps I followed to get the pump working: 1) install the 2 screw-in adaptors for the hose connections 2) fill the pump head with water 3) attach the 6 foot hose to the inlet and place it about 2 feet down in the water 4) attach a 50 foot hose to the outlet and run it to the drain in my backyard 5) plug the pump in and turn it on It took about 1-2 minutes for the water to start flowing. I have a 25,000 gallon pool and this pump was about to dump about 1 inch per hour. It's not a quiet pump, but it's not loud either. If you were using it inside an enclosed space, it might be a little loud. Overall, I think it's a nice pump. It's easy to haul around and use, and it looks and feels like it's made well. I have a salt water pool, so it will be interesting to see how well it resists corrosion.

great for pond
this pump helps incredibly when I need to change the water in my small koi pond. I needed something with a little extra power. I got tired of waiting 2 hours for a few hundred gallons to drain. this makes quick work of a few hundred gallons. I hope to keep abusing this pump for many years to come great product, highly recommend!!!

This is one awesome Pump!
I have to say that this is one powerful pump. It pumps more water, and faster than my house pressure. I love the fact that its stainless steel instead of the powder coated cast iron that some pumps have. I also like the fact that the on/off switch has a waterproof boot. In my opinion Vevor makes great pumps. I’ve had one of their pumps before and it was a strong pump with a lot of life. So needless to say I was excited to get this one. I have no doubt that this one will last just as long, if not longer.
