Best harness, paws down.

The media could not be loaded. FOUR-YEAR UPDATE: This is the only brand of dog harness I will ever buy or recommend. Three months after my last update, we took in a paralyzed foster terrier when all of the local shelters went into COVID lockdown overnight. That spiraled out of control quickly. Since then we’ve fostered more than 30 dogs with intensive care needs, most fully or partially paralyzed from spinal injuries. Very often our fosters need to wear a harness 24/7 for safety, especially newly disabled dogs who need a service human to help navigate their environment. These are so comfortable for round-the-clock wear, even for allergy prone dogs or those with sensitive skin. These also work well in conjunction with the standard Walkin’ Wheels chest harness for dogs that don’t like the Walkin’ Warrior harness. I put the Voyager harness on first, then the wheelchair chest strap. It’s a very snug, comfortable fit that usually keeps everything properly aligned. Most of our fosters are lowriders with some degree of bladder/bowel incontinence, which makes for A LOT of laundry. It’s very rare that we can use a harness more than 2-3 days in a row without washing. There’s almost always a freshly washed load of harnesses hanging to dry, with plenty of clean ones in the bin ready to go. These Voyager harnesses take a relentless licking and just keep ticking. I’ve now purchased more than 50 of these in every size from XS to XL, and even one XXXS for my best friend’s itty bitty kitty who’s a frequent houseguest. I have yet to find a dog breed under 35 lbs. that can’t fit into one of these. Dachshunds, terriers, yorkies, chihuahuas, poodles, poms, maltese, cockers, frenchies—you name it, I’ll put a Voyager harness on it. Best harness

This is the best harness I've found for my dog. I like the combination of velcro, plastic snap locks and double metal attachments for the leash. All said, it makes for a very secure and very comfortable harness. I don't need to worry about adjusting straps to get the proper fit because the velcro allows for ease of proper sizing and comfort fitting. I've found this type of harness available in pet stores and retail store pet departments but only in an extra small size. My dog requires a little larger size so I'm glad the Best Pet Supplies make this type of harness available in all sizes. All in all a great product at a reasonable price.

Escape Artist Wrangler

Recently rescued a Jack Russell Chihuahua mix who knows how to escape every type collar known to man. No matter how tight around the neck he knows how to back out of every type. When I first bought this I put it away and used only for car leash because it was a bit too big. I bought after learning that pups should never be attached to car leash with a regular collar because they could strangle if in an accident. Now that he has settled in and gained weight this harness keeps him safe and I no longer have to go chasing him. It is easy to put on and he has learned to not fight putting it on and recognizes it means outdoor adventure. It has 3 ways to keep him safe. Adjustable velcro, then clasp an then the metal hooks that holds the leash. I wish there was a goldish color to match his fawn and black hair but for now he is sharp looking in his black vest.

Excellent for the price!

I ordered the medium size for my chihuahua mix. It was too small and there was a gap in front. I removed one of the connectors on the top and moved it a bit so the harness would be a bit bigger. A simple sewing trick and it fits perfectly. Am on a tight budget so this was the harness for us. Works and looks great! Pam K.

Buy more than one at a time!

We’ve tried them all from the overpriced big box stores and the pet ‘specialty’ stores too and this is the better of them all for overall quality and costs! Our little Cairns and YorkiPoo rescues live in these. It’s the only style and materials combo that neither balked or tried to get out of while harness training. Now they walk up and into them just like they’re getting dressed when it’s time to put them on daily. The point is, buy two at a time so you always have a fresh one to put on after home baths or groomer visits - no one likes to put dirty clothing back on! We even keep a spare in the car too for rainy days or sharing with other fur-friends!

Easy to wear

Easy to wear, my dog looks comfy. But the top hooks are too small for standard harness’s click. I have been using one hook only, can’t do two at once.

Not as sturdy as it looks

I loved it for the first day he wore it. He then proceeded to pull and the harness broke. He has been missing for three days now :( Probably fine for an easy going dog, but definitely not for a strong, high energy dog like our now missing beagle

Slick Smooth & Simple

Our little Pomeranian doesn't like anything being put over her head, so we always had a battle with previous harnesses. Even though they had adjustable padded straps with clips, she had to put her head through first. We originally bought an extra small size of this Voyager when she was 1 year old, but this is now a bit tight. There isn't any wear to speak of, and the velcro fastening has allowed us to continue to use it as she grew. This is the next size up and it addresses all the issues. The velcro fastener is supported by a clip across it where the lead attaches, though honestly the velcro is very secure itself. Fitting it takes seconds and she happily plonks her paws in the holes. It is easy to avoid putting it on backwards (or upside down!) unlike other harnesses I've used, and Rosie ignores it completely when it's on. A brilliantly simple product.

Super fast and easy

Super easy to put on. Way faster than traditional harness. Bought Xs and S for our kittens. Xs for our girl who is maybe 7-8 pounds. Just fits and can snug up the Velcro . Same for our boy. He is larger 10 pounds plus. Didn’t measure them for sizing, but these fit. They walk around no problem because not too bulky.

Great harness

I bought this harness after spending a fortune on a harness from Pets At Home. That one is absolutely useless and twists and rucks up as soon as my dog walks. It looks so uncomfortable. I was after one that was kind to the dog but man enough to hold her when she pulls. This harness is great and should be able to be worn during the warm summer months as the material is soft and comfortable. Very pleased with this one and it arrived earlier than expected!

Love this almost as much as my dog

With my previous harness you could hear us coming a mile off with my dog coughing due to the strain on her throat, as a youngster she's just starting out with lead walking. With this harness there's no strain. It's light weight and comfortable and very well made. It doesn't appear to be causing any matts in her soft long hair. My girl is wearing an extra small, be sure to measure, she's 12.5 inches and it fits with room for some growth. Super easy to put on and take off and she appears to like wearing it. I will be ordering another as she grows. Totally worth the wait for delivery and it's a must for a small dog.
