Best Bit Set for the money!

Great set of bits. Even the larger bits cut perfectly round and flat holes. I would recommend to anyone.

A Drill Disappoint

I bought these comparing them to a host of other Fortner style kits. I bought these that were a bit more money than other kits in the low price category but thesr came with a few more sizes. Also I liked these because the cutting blades came all around the circumference more I figured a better cut. That's in theory. In real life these brand new WEN brand Forstner Drills are very dull; and seem to clog instantly. Instead of funneling away the wood shavings the wood fibre sticks to the teeth clogging instantly. It takes a lot of pressure to "Make" them bite into the material (3/4" Oak Veener Plywood). I didnt trust cutting all the way through and was very worried about tear out on the other side. Instead I drilled to where the point barely protruded and then used that to Pilot back through from the other side. That worked; but I don't like the way these Wen bits cut. They seem very cheap. The windowed plastic case broke taking it out of the box. I should have sent it back right then but decided to use them. Now I wish I'd either spent less on a smaller set or more on just a few basic sizes. If quality and quantity holes is what your after and high use is important definately look elsewhere. If affordable Forstners and once in a while/great while, and decent holes that take a lot of effort, and care to drill, then I guess these will work...they are better tha just using a basic wood drill bit. Still I'm Dissapointed.

Overall Great Value

I have a WEN Drill Press and theses Forstner Bits were just a great compliment to the Drill Press. Great overall performance with each bit size that I have used. No problems drilling through items thick or thin, or drilling for a long time. I Love WEN Products. I can remember "WEN" I first fell in love with their products.

I wish I would have bought these Forstner bits A LONG TIME AGO!

I wish I would have bought these way sooner rather than using the crappy spade bits for so long. These things cut absolutely perfect holes. Goes through the wood like hot butter. No chipping, no tearout. This set costs a fraction of other sets, and the quality is there. Highly recommended product to any woodworker out there!

Great value for money - these work well

Wide range of bit sizes for not much more money than a couple of individual bits. I used one of the bits in a drill press to cut 1-1/8" holes through Trex planks. After 16 holes they were all consistent and cleanly cut.

Bits are pretty good, but my set came with two 1-1/4" bits and no 1-3/8" bit that I needed.

Bits are pretty good, but my set came with two 1-1/4" bits and no 1-3/8" bit that I needed. I sent Wen a message and they haven't responded. So it is hard to recommend a set that doesn't have everything that it says it does and customer service is non-existent.

Not happy that I could not use in a drill press in plywood without it burning.
