Product is garbage.
It "works" in a pinch, but does not have a shape that ANY pestles correctly fit, and thus cannot properly serve food through without significant portions being discarded. The design of the chinois is also manufactured in a confusing manner. The way the holes were created, the outside surface is smooth, but on the inside of the chinois, the rims of the holes are SHARP! Not painful sharp, but you CANNOT use a spatula in it, since it will shred the edge of the spatula. I ruined several batches of food before I realized that the shredded bits of silicone came from the scraper hitting the sharp sides. I do not recommend buying.

The Winco CCS-8F 8 inch China Cap Fine Mesh Strainer is a very well made and solid product. It works very well for both general cooking as well as Chinois style cooking. Mine sets perfectly with the tip in the sink drain and the handle on the counter top for draining pasta. Being made of stainless steel, clean up is very easy; just pop it in the dish washer. I like this one well enough that I'm looking to Winco for both a smaller and larger size.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my son, the chef, and he loved it. Turns out he also got the exact same thing only one size larger from his brother but he said he could use this smaller one for sauces and the larger one for soups. Delivery was very quick, came sooner than expected.

quality product!
Very nice China cap!! This is a quality product. It does exactly what it's meant to do. I like to make puree's and bisque's, and this China cap is essential to straining out the bits.

Sturdy
I got this as a gift for someone. They seemed pleased with it, saying it was sturdy enough. The only improvement would be a hinged handle to fold down and save in storage space.
