Looks like it would do the job
Recommended by my son’s athletic director to help stabilize his ankle during recovery from a high-ankle sprain. Would have loved to try this, but it arrived obviously used and returned by someone else, then resold (see photos). The item looks like it would be a strong one to hold his ankle steady, only allowing the foot to pivot up and down, not back and forth. Returned item to Amazon, and will likely try to find a new version locally instead of trying to buy online again.

The small size is too big for petite women
I really wanted to keep this product, unfortunately the small size didn’t fit. I wear size 6 shoes and this brace was way to wide and I could t properly tighten it to keep my ankle stable

Sizing is off
Great stability brace but the strap is just too short. I did check the size chart before ordering but it isn't fitting right. The wrap around strap is too short to go around the ankle securely and you can barely get the velcro to catch.

Product is not designed to fit either foot
The video states that the brace can be worn on the left or right side. With that information I ordered two. Both braces have an "L" on them. The instructions indicate that the logo should be on the outside. The only way that works for the right foot is to wear it backwards which is awkward. I am likely sending these back and trying a different product. Note that the 4 and 5 stars are for the left foot only.

Game Changer
I wear this brace while playing pickleball. The stability is great for the lateral movements and hard cuts that I make on the court. It allows my foot to move in all directions while giving stability to the inside an outside. It's comfortable and stays in place. Once I figured out to place it in the shoe and then put my foot in the brace instead of putting on the brace and then trying to get the whole getup into the shoe, I was much happier! I've washed it a few times and it holds up well. It's not sexy, but it's not hideous either. :)

Not just for volleyball players!!!
I was first introduced to Active Ankle T2 when a lot of my volleyball teammates in high school used them. At the time, I wasn't looking for anything in particular and was accustomed to those lace-up ankle braces that a lot of people wear for basketball. Over the years, I finally gave up on those lace-up braces simply because my feet were not getting any blood circulation. If you've used those things, you know what I'm talking about. After a few times up and down the court, my feet would go numb and I wouldnt be able to walk around the court. Eventually, I would just not wear those things and risk it. However, I had a bad ankle sprain during a league game in basketball and felt the need to get some protection (not going to compare low top vs high top basketball shoes here). After thinking about the braces, I remembered my volleyball teammates and gave them a try. Wow. I've been missing out. The brace has 2 sides with padding that go up to your high-ankle area. the 2 sides have large velcro which the 4+/- inch strap wraps around your ankle. you can tighten it pretty securely. i'll admit that I've rolled my ankle during games with these braces on but have not experienced anything severe that stopped me from playing the following week. KEY feature that i love is that these didn't restrict blood flow so there were no issues wearing these and tightening the strap to my comfort. The built in padding on the sides of your ankle is sufficient after getting used to it. Awesome brace and highly recommended. I definitely would buy again (in fact, I lost one of my braces a few weeks ago and replaced it immediately). ********************** UPDATE: 2014 i still have my braces and they still work wonderfully. one thing i want to mention is that some of the newer basketball shoes have a midsole cushion built as an insert to the shoe (for example, the Kobe 8, Kobe 9, and Lebron 11). i've used this brace recently with the Kobe 8 and tried to insert the brace UNDER the midsole (which is about 1 to 1.5 inch thick). the brace still worked fine and the brace was inserted below the midsole for added comfort. still recommend!

Very good lateral support
This brace provides very good lateral support and is surprisingly comfortable. I removed the white foam on the bottom as recommended and put the brace under the shoe insole. There was a little discomfort on the outside of my foot at the bottom where the hard plastic strut hits it, but I put a small piece of the white foam between it and my foot which worked out. The brace is so comfortable I decided to get another one and wear both at the same time for preventive reasons. After a while you forget you are wearing them. I use for basketball.
