Easier than the liquid drops
I really like using these to test for my water parameters instead of mixing chemicals to test the water. I wish they were cheaper. The time saved, makes up for it.

I don’t know
Honestly I wouldn’t be able to tell if this was accurate or not because then I would need to buy another testing kit to compare this. My fish’s fins have been ripping and it wasn’t an environmental issues because I have minimal decor (a barrel and a smooth rock) and so I tested the water and everything is normal. But I can’t test accuracy without getting another one.It is easy to read though.

do you have a Betta fish?
My 12 yrs old son wanted a fish tank so we got him 2.5 gallon tank with a Betta fish. My son did all the necessary research himself to find out how to maintain and keep the fish healthy and he purchased this water test strip along with a water conditioner. He uses the water conditioner every time he changes the water then uses this strip to test the water for pH, nitrite, nitrate carbonate and general water hardness level. It's been 4 months since we purchased the Betta fish and the fish is still doing well and looks happy and health, thanks to the water conditioner and this test strip. Definitely recommend this test strip for anyone who has a Betta fish as a pet. You might want to consider buying a water conditioner in case you need to neutralize or balance the level of pH, nitrite, etc.

Easy peasy!
I love these! They make testing a breeze. I only have to mess with those glass vials for ammonia testing now!

I think it works?
This is the first time ordering test strips so I am not very familiar with them. I’ve used these about 4 times now and the results seem to be good. Not sure how accurate the strips are versus the test kits.

Too few stripes
Too few stripes for the money. I guess I should read the specs better next time. Readings are easy, but they ran out quick

It showed me I have high levels of nitrate, ...
It showed me I have high levels of nitrate, probably because because of the fertiliser I'm using. I'll replace it with a fertilizer without nitrate and phosphates since the fish wastes will contain an adequate amount.

Perfect
These are great, I had to google to find out what is a good reading how your water should be, so I marked it on the tube - so anything between the black lines are good, hope this helps.

Useful for aquarium set up and longer term water maintenance
The test strips are made up of five small pads each about 4mm Square, the pads coincide with the reference colours on the tube markings that indicate by colour the relevant readings in parts per million (ppm). If you are colour blind there may be problems but I was easily able to ascertain the ppm levels and interpret slight shade differences to read between the base readings. It is best to hold the strips in your left hand when making the test as the strip will then be correctly orientated to make readings. The guidance notes included with the test kit are comprehensive and provide guidance on the levels for an ideal aquarium. I am two weeks into maturing a black water tank for South American cichlids and currently test every four days. When the nitrite levels are stable at ZERO I will add one small fish to ensure a stable environment - my maturing method is fishless.

OK for a quick check all is well.
Good, but no ammonia test, which is probably better done with a liquid test. Otherwise OK for a quick check all is well. Don't forget you can cut the strip longways into two, so you can double-up for the same £!

Easy to use - Accuracy is quite general
This is good to give me an idea of where my levels are at. I don’t require pinpoint accuracy so these are fine for me. I have no fish yet so nitrites and nitrates are where they should be. PH is where I expected it for my area, as is KH slightly hard. The GH for general hardness will have spiked due to substrate added whilst planting so is not unexpected. As you can see from my image some interpretation is required, and confidence to accept that they are correct. I’ll keep this under review as I compete my cycle and add fish.
