They look ok, but the don't feel heavy duty, kinda on the lighter end but they should work, it'll never be loaded to max

These seem good but upon closer inspection the paint for the ones I got was missing, chipped or damaged in one way or another. Aside from that I was scared to actually use them because the welds on them looked sketchy. But as I'm no professional I took the risk and used it to help change the oxygen sensor in my car. For a light car they held up alright but I tried going as fast as I could so I didn't have to be under the car for too long. I HIGHLY recommend properly quality checking your product (as you should for each and every Amazon purchase). If you see ANYTHING you don't like I would NOT risk it. Especially if you have a heavier car/ suv/ truck.

Strong and sturdy

These Jack's are strong and sturdy. Also the safety pin feature gives me confidence when am working under the vehicle.

Well and consistently manufactured, strong and solid jacks

I ordered these Big Red jacks after returning three sets of Harbor Freight jacks to their store after they recalled several models of stand jacks. I was pleasantly surprised when I received these Big Red jacks. I bought two sets of 6-ton jacks and one set of 3-ton jacks with the anticipation that I might need to return them if the quality was not acceptable. I was concerned about some of the reviews that seem to be from some time ago. These Big Red jacks show very good manufacturing quality with clean welds and consistent finishing in all six jacks. The safety pin is a must for me, and they fit fairly good on all possible step heights on all of the 6-ton jacks. On the 3-ton jacks, I had to grind and file a little bit the first three or four teeth on both jacks to make them fit properly. Not a big deal, but something I shouldn't have had to do. I adjusted the teeth instead of the pin or the pin opening because they fit well in all other step heights. It is not a product that I would be buying often, but I am very satisfied with the product. The quality of these Big Red jacks is probably five times better than the recalled Harbor Freight jacks that I wouldn't risk my life going under any vehicle with them. Also, these Big Red jacks seem to have a capacity of 6 tons each (very sturdy), as opposed to Harbor Freight 6-ton jacks capacity for the pair. Same thing with the 3-ton jacks capacity vs. HB 3-ton pair capacity. You can do your own research, but just looking at the Big Red jacks you would realize they are much more strong and sturdy. The safety pin is also peace of mind since you cannot raise or lower the jack without disengaging the safety pin.

Good choice

Wanted a small inexpensive set for occasional home use, and these work well. Used them at the side-front jack points to hold up the front end of my RAV4, and they worked well. Sturdy and much safer than my previous (dangerous) method of relying on the car scissor jack to hold up the car. Happy with my purchase.

Useful Tools to have for DIY Work

I bought a pair of the 3 ton ones to use as extra support when I'm working on my jeep (about 3200 lbs). I inspected afte delivery, and found no problems with the pair (no cracks on the frame, no paint chips etc.) so the quality seems high. They are solid as well, though most of the mass seems to be in the black part. While I like the idea of the double-lock design, I never rely on this alone for my safety. Always use these in conjuction with something else. For me, it's my scissor jack, coupled with a wheel under the car. Better safe than sorry. I do feel like the design could've been better to allow the silver pin to contact a greater area of the black part, for a more secure form of protection. But, I won't take away a star, because this is the secondary protection mechanism, and because you should never be under a vehicle relying soley on jack stands for support. Like I said, I use these while sharing some of the weight of the vehicle on the scissor jack, while a wheel is placed under the vehicle just in case. These stands have never felt wobbly under the jeep for me, and I have no reason to doubt their ability to support the weight I expose them to. And, of course, just in case they begin failing, I do a pre-inspection and post-inspection, so I'll notice. I got these for just over $30, and at that price point, I am happy with what I got. If I wanted something to make me feel 'safer', I'd easily spend ten times that. Or maybe I'd buy a floor jack, or a ramp, or even a lift.

Love the safetly pin

The Good: - Comes with a secondary safety pin - Good weight The Not So Good: - Nothing I can see Your standard set of jack stands which are a good weight. Not too light that they feel flimsy and not too heavy that it feels like a chore lugging them around. The nice thing about these that I really like is the secondary locking mechanism which works very well. The lock pin is solid which makes me feel very safe and the pin seems to be able to hold a decent amount of weight in case of accidental release.
