and the black was perfect for him
Fit MAYBE a half size small. I ordered up a size and a half because of other reviews and they were too big on my son, but I kept them since he was starting dance that day. He doesn't wear socks to dance, but if he did, I probably still would have only ordered a half size up, given the chance. From what I gather, they're supposed to fit snugly. Other than that, there were no complaints from him, and the black was perfect for him, being the only boy in his combo class.

Perfect starter shoe
Was looking for an inexpensive 'starter' shoe for my 5.5-year old and this was just the right price. Was a little worried about size as I was ordering online and when it did first arrive (international mail) it looked rather small. Turned out it was the perfect size, once my son tried it on. He has a pair of Sacouny Australian 10M and using this, measuring the length of his feet and the sizing chart provided by Capezio - we got a perfect USA 12M size.

Fit as street shoe size
Based on what people said, I expected these to be almost too small for my daughter, despite their stated size. (She is a 1 to 1.5 in street shoe, and I ordered 1.5 in these jazz shoes.) However, they are a little big (a good thing, as they will fit her for the next dance season). They seem good quality and she was happy, so good news all around.

Great shoe, durable, but runs small!!
I love this style of shoe and this brand. However, I would strongly recommend ordering a size up from street shoe size because they do tend to run a little small especially compared to some other brands. They have wonderful durability and never seem to wear out before they're outgrown. I would definitely recommend this shoe as long as you keep the sizing in mind when you make a purchase to prevent having to reorder.

Great shoe, RUNS SMALL!
These shoes are great, but run very small. My daughter normally wears a size 11, I ordered size 11.5 and it's small. She can wear them for the class she is taking since it's only for a few weeks, but her toe is right at the top. I would recommend ordering a full size bigger. A 12 would have been perfect for her. Otherwise, these shoes are well made and perfect for her jazz class.

They really are cut a little smaller than normal shoes
I ordered these for my 5 year old grand-daughter. There is only one place locally to buy jazz shoes and the sizes start at 12. She is a 10 1/2 in regular shoes with a roomy fit in most cases. I bought size 12's at the local store because a lot of places say order a size or two up for jazz shoes. They were huge, so they were returned. That is why I initially ordered 10 1/2M Capezio's from Amazon. They fit (she has a narrow foot) but her toes were at the end. So they are going back for an 11M. The quality of the shoe looks fine, and they appear to be soft, flexible, and comfortable.

Runs very small
My child wears a size 10 W shoe. Ordered one size up (per other reviewers suggestions) but it was too narrow to go on his foot (the 11 wide) so I went up one more size. The 12 w is a little long in the toe but the width is just right. Otherwise it is a great shoe at a reasonable price.

I ordered 2 sizes up like some reviewers suggested
I ordered 2 sizes up like some reviewers suggested, but there is now about a 1 size space gap, so i probably could have just went 1 size up. Ill keep bc my little one will grow into them.
