First impression isn't great...
Edit: Leaving the original review for integrity. Reached out to the company. They responded the following week, as I believe I initially reached out to them on a Friday. I sent them a short video of the issue, as seems to be common practice these days. About a week later, a replacement unit was on my porch. As I unboxed it, I became even more convinced that the first one was a return. There was more going on with the first one than I realized after seeing the difference in the second one. The replacement was well packaged, looks great and includes all of the documentation. Overall, I would say this has been an excellent experience. I do believe there was a mixup with the original unit. It happens. I could just as easily have the same experience at Best Buy. The company responded quickly and, in my opinion, appropriately. I'm currently ruining bacon. So far, I recommend this machine. It does appear to be a new model, though, so extra mesh pads and silicon mats for it don't seem to exist. I picked up some third-party and they're way too small. That's the only downside. As long as this one holds up, I'm very happy with the purchase. I'm glad I didn't go with the six rack. I recommend you don't. Once things are dehydrated, you really do lose a LOT of volume. Original Review: This thing came with no paperwork. There was no warranty information, no recipe book, no instructions. All of these things are available on the website, so no big deal I guess. However, when I opened the box, it seemed as though something had been dripped on the top of it. I've not yet attempted to clean it. Additionally, all of the trays were just loose inside the machine. I ran it through the obligatory first cycle and it seems to be working fine. I'll give it a more thorough look tomorrow, but I'm not convinced that this wasn't open-box or a return. I'll be putting it through its paces during the return period. If everything holds up, I'll update the rating. So far, I'm not super thrilled. EDIT 1: More convinced that this thing was a return. There appears to be a barely visible indentation in one of the top corners. That's not the concerning bit, however. The problem is that the racks (which all measure the same size) only fit in the top four slots. Lower than that they start falling out.They only go in one way, since they're wider than they are deep. I measured the interior width at the door, which appears to be accurate. As I'm looking at it from above, it appears that the sides are bowed out slightly. So the racks will not stay in place. Dropping to a one star, since 60% of the internal space is unusable. Will edit again after contacting the company.

Nice--after a glitch
i ordered this direct from Amazon, and when it arrived, the box was beat all to heck, and had what I can only describe as a white powder residue on the box. This box had been soaked by something and then was allowed to dry. After we peeled---yes peeled the outer shipping box off, the interior box had some residue on it, I opened the box and the dehydrator had a small dent in the top, close to the front edge. I think I can do with that, although it is a lot of money to spend and receive a product in such a poor shape. I set it on the counter, and open the door, which promptly falls off. Thank god I have good reflexes as I was able to catch it before it landed on the floor. Upon further inspection I see the top left corner of the machine exterior is broken, no pieces in box, but due to this damage, I have to hold the door whenever I open it. Not my ideal at all. I started my conversation with Cosori, complete with pictures and after a couple of quick checks on their end, I had a new machine arriving at my home. I believe it took about two weeks, but they made it right. The replacement one came in a perfect outer box and the interior box and the machine were pristine. I do not blame Cosori at all for this, as it was direct from Amazon. I am just glad they made it right without me having to jump through multiple layers of hoops. The dehydrator is a solid unit. The ten trays are made well, and the included fruit leather tray I use as a drip tray in the bottom of the unit. I use this mainly for fruits and veggies, but the occasional bag of mini marshmallows have found their way in too. I have not used it for jerky so I can not comment there. I feel this will serve me well and will recommend to anyone.

So Quiet you can hear a pin drop
Ive been using this machine now for a while, I wanted to wait to give a fair review. I am amazed. I was most worried about the machine being noisy but seriously this is so quiet i forget its on. So easy to use, So easy to clean. The book that comes with it is very helpful with recipees and also just general tips and tricks. I dont think ive actually read a manual before but i read this one. I am able to open the machine door without it stopping i love the fruit tray its come with. Ive already made, Mango, Bananas, Fruit rolls of multiple different flavors, Beef jerky was the biggest success it turned out amazing. Highly recommend this product.

Company Stands Behind Their Product...
Bought the Cosori Dehydrator for Dr. Davis' Yogurts and for garden fruits and veggies. Worked perfect for about 2 1/2 months. Dehydrated oranges at the 165 worked great but then I went back to created a new batch of yogurt at the 109 . In the morning the yogurt was BAKED and the dehydrator had ramped up to at least 150/160 and when I turned it off the back fan went bright red. Eeeks. Contacted company, satisfied their requirements with a few back and forth emails/pictures and was sent promptly a new machine. I very much appreciate a company that stands behind its products!

EXCELLENT DEHYDRATOR AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT
I have recently bought the Cosori Food Dehydrator. The item came fully functional. I followed their user manual and did the test run for 30 minutes without food as a first-time use. The cycle finished normally and it warned me with a few beeps at the end, as described in the manual. The next morning I wanted to dehydrate some food, but there was no life, meaning no power, no display, no fan, no heating. I was naturally disappointed and immediately contacted the Customer Support of the manufacturer for replacement or repair. I have been told to sent the copy of the invoice, description of failure and a short video if possible. I did send all the info by email and the reply was fast. They told me that they will immediately sent a new unit and that I can dispose the old unit or use it as spare parts, if I wish so. I was happy not to have to deal with the burden of packing and sending the defunct unit and paying an extra for the shipment on top of it. The new unit came in less than a week and it works like a charm. I was highly impressed by the fast, professional, accommodating and polite action taken by the company, compared to some other companies I dealt with in the past. Things can go wrong especially with electric devices due to a faulty part here or there, causing malfunction, which I experienced quite a few times before. However the customer service is what makes a difference. I recommend this food dehydrator to everyone (by far one of the best in it’s class in the market according to many surveys and reviews on the internet) and you can place your order with a peace of mind (thanks to excellent customer service). You won’t have any issues to have a fast replacement, should you experience any rare and unfortunate problems with the product.

Dehydrates so fast!
We’ve had a couple of dehydrators in the past and always had to increase the recommended times. So, our first time using it to dehydrate liver for our dog we put it in a couple of hours extra. No need! We started using it the recommended time and it works perfectly. It’s so fast and efficient and really well made.

Really a no-brainer if you are looking for a dehydrator.
The size is perfect. It has enough room for you to dehydrate 3kg of beef jerky or 3kg of fruits, looks good and is simple and easy to use. The racks are easy to remove and clean, the front window is handy to see how your project is going, and it makes a beautiful ambient noise that can help you get to sleep. Mine has been running constantly, as I've been making homemade jerky, rasins, dried bananas, apple chips and dried hot peppers. Really wish I had bought this long before. A great investment.

Happy with purchase
I’m very happy with the dehydrator which I purchased last summer. I’ve used it for several rounds of dried apples. It’s very roomy, and the air circulates easily. I have been wanting a dehydrator for a long time and had considered buying the smaller round one but I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s larger and you can dry a lot in it.
