Took a little maneuvering to install

When I bought this trailer light wiring harness for my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country, I thought it would be the same as with my 2005 Dodge Durango, and go on in a couple of minutes, but I was severely wrong. With this wiring harness, you have to push the ends of the wiring harness through a couple of prefab holes in your auto body. The problem with this is that there is insulation between the interior and exterior body panels, and the holes you need to push the wiring harness through can get pretty tight. The left side tail light was fairly easy with a larger hole in the body panel, I was able to put my hand in farther, and push the wiring harness easier. The Right side taillight was a little harder because the body panel hole on the interior was smaller, and a little lower than the exterior hole, so much more difficult to maneuver through the body. We ended up cutting the end of the right side wiring harness off, and running the wire through the panel, and then reattaching the harness end to the wire once it was through the body. Also, something I wasn't aware of with this harness is that the 4 pin connector is not maintained on the outside of the vehicle. This wiring harness stays inside the vehicle until you are ready to use it, and then you run the wires out through the back door whenever you're going to use it. The part I don't like about this harness is shutting the door on the wires. I know that there is weather stripping there, and it probably won't cut the wires by being closed on them, but I just feel it might degrade the life of the harness... Otherwise, so far so good. Decent wiring harness, somewhat difficult installation, but still functional, and decent quality.

Easy to install

Easiest install for any wiring project I’ve ever done!

Quick use!!

Took about 5mins to install. I did not run it back through the body. I just ran the wires under the light assembly. Then pushed the wires inside the van 5mins tops. Didn't care for the ground wire. Had to use a drill Tel screw to the body. They could've tied that into the other white wires since the body harness for the lights is already grounded. Other than that no problems.

Pretty easy to install in my 06 Grand Caravan. Routing to the passenger side requires you to fish it to the light cavity. Get a good look at what's going on there before you tie on. Wish the set was longer. Watched one video, but it was for another brand. This product is too short to route it their way, which is a little cleaner, but not a big deal. Only reason for knocking a star off. Worth every extra penny to not have splice anything!!

Very easy to install and worked with no issues

The harness is super easy to install on a 2005 dodge grand caravan sxt stow and go. Took about 20 minutes with no prior experience of knowing anything dodge or harness wiring. The self tapping ground screw worked instantly under the gamble and the length of excess wire is about 15 inches which is plenty to reach my trailer. Literally you can do this by watching a YouTube video on your phone and doing it same time. Definitely buy this kit and do not pay to get it installed ..you can do It yourself

Works well for my little trailer with LED lights.

Works well with my little trailer. Note that this kit does not contain a powered converter, so your trailer lights are powered from the vehicle's tail light wiring. If your small trailer has LED lights, this setup is fine. On my 2005 Grand Caravan, this kit will allow the trailer connector to extend outside the tailgate by a foot, or perhaps a little more. It takes a fair bit of cutting in the existing tail light wiring grommets for the hole to be large enough to push the connectors through to the space behind the taillights. That small tube of black silicon sealant is to reseal the grommet where you cut through. I used coil-style plastic wire loom to protect the wiring as it exits under the tailgate.

Price was right, easy to install

Great price point, installed on an 04 caravan, took about an hr but never installed a trailer harness before. Good product!

It works with the exception that the plug is very tight and the cable cannot be stored in the tire jack compartment like the other brand. Minor problems. Seems to work OK.
