Helps for winter swimming but fits strange

Great option for winter swimming. My daughter is on swim team and wanted to keep swimming through the winter but would get cold. She said she was still a little cold but this shirt helped keep her warmer. I took a star off for the fit. My daughter is 8 years old, pretty tall but very slender. She normally wears a medium but I purchased a small so it would be tight. The small shirt fits pretty tight around the torso which is most important. But the torso length so long that even my lanky daughter could pull it down to cover her butt, yet the sleeves stop just below her elbows. I am used to having sleeve length and body length problems with her clothes but this one is definitely a strange fit. Nonetheless, it still helps keep her warmer so it's a win either way for us.

Indeed a true thermal swim shirt

I am so glad that I found this product and that it actually worked. My 8 year old disliked attending swim lessons because he complained pool water being too cold for him. This thermal swim shirt solved that for him and he's now a happy camper ????.

I bought this swim shirt for my 8 year old ...

I bought this swim shirt for my 8 year old son, who is on a competitive swim team. He swims 4 days a week in a 70 degree pool and this thermal shirt has helped him stay in the pool for the two hours. Since my son started wearing his shirt, I noticed other kiddos buy this shirt too. He loves it and he stays dry under it too. It must be a little tight to keep the kid warm and dry. Do not size up, won't work as well.

Good alternative to wetsuit

Go larger in size. The size info isn't good. I had bought the extra small for my 6 1/2 yr old, Even though I had a feeling it would be small, I used their size chart and the shirt was way too small. My son is only in the 35 th percentile for height and very skinny. I then got the small and it fits very. The shirt is long so there's good coverage and there's room to grow. It also seems warm.

Keeps kids warm for swim lessons and true to size

If you get the proper fit, this will keep your child warm better than a regular rash guard. I ordered a small for my 6-year-old son who wears a size 5/6, and it was too big. It fit my 8 year old son perfectly, and he wears size 7/8. So, I would say the small is like a boys size 7/8 at a Big Mart store.

Does the trick

Keeps my children warm in a rather cold pool so they managed to stay in longer than usual and they have yet to catch a cold, which is what they normally do during the winter term swimming lessons.

Not really fit for purpose

This could potentially be a good product. I got it for my grandson who stands at the side of the pool turning blue with cold while awaiting his turn. Unfortunately when it gets wet, it flops around him in the water and slows him down. A bit of a wast of money. maybe in a couple of years when he's older it might fit better – or he might have grown out of being so cold.

Arrived on time and perfect fit
