Love this thing

We moved into the house and it already had one that wa 13 years old. It gave up the ghost on us and we never realized how much we loved having instant cold water. We have instant hot water dispenser too but rarely use it. We use the cold water all the time. So worth it. Be careful though once get one you will always need one.

Perfect alternative for Insinkerator hot/cold combo faucet and/or no cold water tap in fridge

Great solution for colder water. We used in place of upgrading the refrigerator that didn't have cold water dispenser. Unit fit great under the sink and I connected to the insinkerator instant hot/cold faucet. We now have filtered hot and cold coming out of the faucet. We have a whole house filter on the main water inlet as well, which makes this double filtered. The alternative to get a Thermador freezer with cold water was about $6,000. The math is obvious and even if unit doesn't last forever, the cost justifies replacing over and over if necessary. Some other units talk of being hot. The plumber who installed this unit was very happy when he came in and saw the Franke, which he said has a good track record. I didn't need a plumber to install except he was already at the house for other repair/upgrades. The water isn't "brain freezing" but it's cold on demand vs. letting the faucet run for 2-3 minutes. We have a hot water circulator on the whole house and therefore the water coming out of the spigot is usually warm. This unit resolves that issue so at least I have cold water on demand at the primary sink in the kitchen. Lastly, I manage the power with a wifi switch so the unit isn't running all day and night when not at home. I don't like cold water but rest of family does. Happy family. One and done.

Also worked great for me then suddenly died

Had it for exactly two years - I loved my cold water at the sink - then suddenly the motor just died. Don't get it. All it is is a small refrigerator. Have contacted customer service but I don't hold out a lot of hope since it's out of warranty. Will update if Franke does the right thing.

Super cold drinking water!

This unit delivers very cold water, just as I had hoped. It is a fairly quiet unit, but not entirely silent. It is hidden inside the cabinet under the counter, so most of the time I don't hear it - however if I'm standing a couple of feet away, I might hear a slight hum (not bothersome at all). I had previously used the Insinkerator CWT00 which is no longer in production. I was happy with the insinkerator, but I like this better because it produces colder water. Be warned, these units are big, so be prepared to make room for it under the counter, and don't forget that you'll need to have an electric outlet nearby.

Very cold water and fits perfectly under the sink. Simple to use.

Perfectly cold water on demand and fills up quite a lot of water bottles at the same time. Small and compact. The fan you can hear a little bit but not enough to be worried about it even be distracted about it.

I’ve bought this item twice already but it never cools!??

So I got the first unit installed professionally. Unit turns on runs but water never comes out cold but exactly same temp as regular faucet. I thought something should be wrong with the unit, so I purchased a second one because too much time had passed since I bought and install. Second unit behaves the same. I doubt I’ve gotten two defective units. So we have it installed and turned off, get the same temp water and save on electricity ????‍♂️. If you are looking for cold water this isn’t it.

Worked great for two years then died

Worked for about 18 months then suddenly died. Connected to my kohler faucet with a two stage kohler filte. All adapters were included. Makes some noise.

This product was damaged. I ordered it and just got my plumber to install it and it is damaged and it says I cannot return it!

Keeps the water Chilled

I like that its chills instantly. No waiting. You can barely hear it behind the cupboard. Little more money but worth it. Installer loved it and adding it to his product line.

Works great, Very Happy

We have had multiple different water chillers in different homes. The Franke Little Butler works great. It is so nice to have chilled, filtered water all the time. I highly recommend the product.

very NOISY

Low quality product. It chills the water fine but sounds like a motor boat. Too noisy for a residential kitchen and way above what a typical refrigerator compressor sounds like. Around 65db at the unit.
