It is a Freud - GREAT

Cut edge on 50 feet of 3/4" red oak like it was butter. Never got dull. This was a short run so now on to a lot more

Make sure you get a quality product

When I opened the package, the container the bit was in had been opened which seemed weird as the Amazon box was not. Upon looking at the bit closer, it had a chip in the edge. My guess is someone had returned this bit and the company repackaged and sent it out again. No problem returning it and the new one works fine.

There's something mildly scary about 8 oz. of razor sharp steel spinning at 15,000 RPM...

As the other reviewer said, this is a Freud bit and that means that it's high quality. There are other good manufacturers...Amama, CMT, Whiteside just to name a few. Their products cost many times what the Chinese imports cost. There's a reason for that...quality control. You haven't lived until you've had a cheap router bit self-destruct when it gets up to speed. Luckily, no one was hurt. As for this particular bit, I'm currently using it to round off the tops of some maple boards. Using a couple of passes, it's cutting through the wood like proverbial hot knife through butter. With a moderate feed rate, the surface is just about as smooth. As bits go this one is clearly five star material. It's sharp, precisely made and works. It's doing what it's made for. Incidentally, this bit MUST be used in a router table.

Freud Half Round Router Bits

I have a large selection of Freud Router Bits. So, when I purchased my Incra LS25 Positioner my natural choice for Dovetail, Straight, and Bullnose router bits was Freud. After all who wants to mix in some plain metal colored router bits with all those pretty red ones. My only complaint is that Freud does NOT make a 5/16" radius Bullnose bit which is one of the sizes needed for the Incra Hingecrafter Jig so after calling Freud and pleading for a 5/16" bullnose bit I ended up getting the plain metal colored Whiteside bullnose bit which sticks out like a sore thumb in my router bit case. Haven't had the chance to use the Whiteside bit yet but from what I've heard they make a quality bit just like Freud.

Chick magnet

I thought for $57.99 the router was included, but it wasn't. Then I thought, maybe it will help me pick up chicks. I took it to the mall on a chain around my neck. I spotted a really good looking girl and started a conversation. She asked me about my necklace. One thing led to another and so on. Everything's good, but I'm wondering, for $57.99, will it work twice? What if I had bought one of those $90.00 ones? In any case, I recommend you give it a try, unless you're a chick. If you are, it might work for you too. Let me know in the comment section if this magical router bit works for you.

Hight quality bit

Freud bits are my favorite! Durable and sharp this is a great bit I'm already putting to work. Just look at the profile of this one carefully I bought it to route an edge on table aprons and it looked a little funny. I'm using it instead on door fronts and like it as a rail & stile profile.

Good deal, Amazon pricing, quick delivery.....Freud quality...

Freud has been my choice for router projects for a long time. Table router, 60+ bits, all Freud, they last twice as long as others when used correctly, I have not had a "failure" as with a no-name years ago when one side of carbide came off at one heck a speed. I've left it stuck in the wall of my shop as a reminder!!! Thank you Freud.

Broke on first run, bad luck maybe

First test run, walnut off cut, push through peice sparks flew, no nails or metal in peice. Check bit, chunk of cutting bit edge gone. Amazon replaced, hopefully better luck.
