What I needed.
My bike has mostly Allen head bolts and my Allen head socket selection was "lacking". This kit filled that void for sure. If the quality is good then this will be a great tool investment for me. I have had some bad experiences with gear wrench and some good experiences also so we'll see.

Good master set for Techs
As a technician apprentice this set has the most common sockets I’ll need,From regular torx to e torx sockets. This master set is a good starter kit and look like high quality so hopefully they’ll last a lifetime

Value for the dollar!
This is a solid durable super comprehensive tool kit with a durable case! I was pleasantly suprised to see the coverage that it offers! Gear wrench continues to impress me with their tool lineups! Im a 41 year master mechanic and have 3 tool boxes stuffed with snap on tools ,so i know a good tool when i see one! Very happy with this set!

Good set but missing parts
So far no issues from this set except it was missing the 8mm e-torx socket. The case doesn’t hold pieces very well as they were slightly scattered in the case when I opened it. Checked everything thoroughly, but still missing the 8mm e-torx

Sometimes, you'll get the same quality with a different label, for less
I'll start with Danaher. Now, Danaher makes Matco Tools, Armstrong, Silver Eagle, Kobalt, Craftsman, NAPA, Allen, Gear Wrench, and K-D Tools. I’m actually not sure if they are called Danaher anymore, they may be called Apex Group, or split in two forming Danaher and Apex but regardless, they’re all under the same umbrella, which is why you’ll find many similarities between these products if you look closely. Now before we get crazy and say that Kobalt is just as good as Armstrong, we must understand this does not mean they’re all of the exact same quality, or even made in the same place. Some of Matco and Armstrong tools are finer than craftsman or kobalt, by a considerable amount. Just know the battle between Kobalt, craftsman and gearwrench, Sometimes, can be a bit silly. But sometimes..... its not. So let’s break it down like this, Danaher owns the following: Matco Tools = very high end Armstrong = industrial high end Silver eagle = industrial Kobalt/Craftsman/Napa/Allen/Gearwrench/K-D = home, hobby, otherwise light use. Starting with silver eagle, you’ll begin to find more Taiwan/China made products, though they are still tough and respectable as far as usable tools go. Sometimes, you’ll find name brands at the bottom of this list can float into the industrial side of the world in quality, I see this often with Napa. Quality and features in the bottom list seems to always be floating around, keeping the market busy and tool sales up from people who don’t use or need tools every day with an attempt to spark interest. And on occasion, some of the great quality at the top of the list will trickle down to some of the lower end brands because of some bulk materials or other various reasons. So let me get to the actual product being review here. First off the ratchets in this kit. They’ve put out a pretty decent tool at a fair price here. The internals of these ratchets you’ll find to be quite similar to the craftsman low profile ratchet #44995, which is a fantastic ratchet by the way. This gearwrench brand simply has 84 teeth instead of the 60 the craftsman had. The gearwrench is also not a quick release design which makes this ratchet stronger than the #44995. And I feel they have not overdone the tooth count either. I’ve pulled a great deal of torque on this ratchet with confidence and the clicking sounds very positive. These ratchets are far superior to the run of the mill craftsman. If you ask me, I’d say these gearwrench 84 tooth ratchets are a hybrid of the craftsman low-profile and the craftsman premium 84 tooth ratchet. Both great tools. The thumb ratchet in this kit has the exact same head with a shorter handle. The sockets are great, STAMPED with sizes on two sides of each socket which is great for finding the one you need, and wont wear off like this "laser etched" crap. The fit and finish of these are pretty good too. Just this morning I abused the 1/2” deep socket with a breaker bar + 3ft cheater with no issues, which is what sparked me to write the review. But, like any brand, including the high end, they will break if you push them hard enough, I have yet to see adamantium sockets on the market. You’ll find the Napa labeled sockets to be very similar to gearwrenches. Give this kit a go. These tools should last a long time.

No deep 15/16 or 1” in kit. And only goes to 18mm.
Is it supposed or come with a 15/16 deep socket? That seems pretty standard in most sets? Either way they look nice and I’ve had a wrench set for years that I love. I hope they hold up-

Broke a few sockets, not a well balanced set.
Two sockets broke on me, the 1/4" broke while working on hydraulics, I cant afford to have tools that break working in industry. I wish I could return these but Its too late. I suggest buying your local retail stores "lifetime guarantee" tool sets instead of this, you will be better off.

Good, but not as good as it looks
Reasonable quality product let down by the annoying case that won't hold the tools in place. If you were using this everyday and moving it around a lot, you'd be very annoyed. Tool quality looks OK, but somewhat less than I expected for a GW product. Made in China.

Awesome set. Can not beat the price. Tool truck is $100 more. Should be everyones starter kit, has everything you need.
