Fits Makita LXSL01 with an easy adaptor.
I have a Makita 18V compound miter saw (LXSL01, 7 1/2" blade). It came with one vise, but I wanted one for the other side as well. The Makita vise was outrageously expensive, ($50-$120) so I looked at the specs and took a chance on this one. The mounting hole on the saw is 5/8" and the Hitachi vise shaft is 1/2". I was able to cut a short piece of thin-walled vinyl tubing that had an inside diameter of 1/2" and outside diameter of 5/8". I ran hot water over a short piece of the tubing to soften it, and slid it onto the Hitachi shaft, then tapped it gently into the hole on the saw. It fit nice and snug, and it doesn't even need a set screw to hold it. I love my Makita tools, but damn! I won't pay that much for a little vise for it. For $13, I can take a chance

Missing parts.
I bought this so I could clamp stuff to the miter saw on both sides at the same time. How silly of me. I see a lot of reviews that mention the missing thumbscrew part, but the one I got sent is also missing the metal rod pictured in the item listing. Guess I have to find a screw and a rod to make this item into what it was supposed to be. Until then, it’s basically useless.

Missing clamp is NOT missing but still buy another M6 screw
I read a lot of reviews that there was a missing clamp but my package today included the so-called missing clamp. Luckily because I read the earlier reviews, I bought an M6x20 screw ahead of my delivery that cost me about 65 cents and it fits perfectly. I almost thought I wasted 65 cents until I realized I needed another set screw to set the vertical metal rod behind the fence on the miter box so it turns out all is well. In other words, if you get this part even with the non-missing set screw, be prepared to buy another M6 screw to set the vertical metal rod to the miter box.

it fits but......
this product is perfect but it doesn't come with screw that actually tightens on the machine so for that should it receives 3 stars it doesn't mention that you will have to purchase separately at additional cost of 7.00 US. I think it should have came with …. other than that it fits as it should and matches the one that came with device... thank you

should have another thumb screw
Exact replacement for my Hitachi Miter saw so I have two clamps instead of just one but it should come with another thumb screw as others have noted. I found a bolt to use instead but still...

Needs second thumbscrew
The vise itself is fine, and it is exactly as pictured, but it would be far more useful if it came with a second thumbscrew. Without the second screw, the second vise is useless, or nearly so. The whole reason I ordered a second vise was to avoid having to be constantly moving the first one from one side to the other, a process that is made very inconvenient by the need to move the thumbscrew that secures the upright cylindrical bar to the saw table. There is no aftermarket substitute that I can find for the screw, and as far as I can tell the only way to order just the screw is at a price that is more than half that of the entire vise assembly.

The only disappointment in this part is that it did not come ...
This clamp is identical to the one supplied with the Hitachi C12FDH. Having one clamp on each side of the saw's chassis is very convenient. The only disappointment in this part is that it did not come with the associated M6 wing screw that anchors the clamp into the chassis of the saw. until I find such wing screw, I am using an M6 bolt to finger tightness.

Simple is good.
Simple tool works well. The steel rod is hard enough that the thumb screws dont dig in. That said it does seem like sideways motions will loosen up the thumb screw. But it does hold down material well for cutting with the chop saw.
