De nieuwe Electro-Torch is het perfecte accessoire voor grillen, kamperen en camperen. Met de Electro-Torch steek je eenvoudig je houtskoolbarbecue, houthaard, kampvuur of vuurkorf aan zonder lucifers of aanmaakvloeistof te gebruiken. De Electro-Torch heeft een dubbele ontstekingsschakelaar waarmee je in minder dan een minuut een vuur kunt ontsteken! Pas meer warmte toe en je hebt een knapperend vuur in slechts 2-3 minuten. De eerste stand genereert superverhitte lucht om het vuur te ontsteken. De tweede stand produceert een luchtstroom met hoge snelheid om de vlammen aan te wakkeren. De Electro-Torch gebruikt niets anders dan hete lucht met een temperatuur van 1500° om uw hout of houtskool te ontsteken. U hoeft zich nooit meer zorgen te maken over het proeven van chemicaliën op uw eten of zonder startvloeistof! Wanneer je vuur of houtskool begint op te branden, voeg dan meer hout of houtskool toe en gebruik de Electro-Torch om het weer te laten brullen. De Electro-Torch heeft een speciale thermische beveiliging. Als het apparaat een extreem hoge temperatuur bereikt die het apparaat zou kunnen beschadigen, wordt de automatische thermische schakelaar ingeschakeld en wordt het apparaat uitgeschakeld. Dit kan gebeuren wanneer het apparaat gedurende langere tijd draait of wanneer er zich overtollige warmte heeft opgehoopt in de verwarmingskamer. Na ongeveer 15-20 minuten is de Electro-Torch voldoende afgekoeld om opnieuw op te starten. De Electro-Torch heeft een 1,8 m lang zwaar geaard netsnoer.

Works like a charm! Great company!!!
I purchased one of these lighters a little over a year ago and after a bit of a learning curve was able to get my grill going pretty quickly. We grill all the time, so this was fabulous. A little while ago the lighter started getting a bit loud and finally conked out. I looked up my purchase so I could order a new one and noticed that it had a two-year warranty. I emailed the company; they got right back with me the same day. I sent the info they needed, and they sent out a new one. It is nice to see a company that stands behind their products. Wagner-HomeRight, you have my business!

Magic Fire Stick
Count me among all the cavemen who would have been blown away by this item. I purchased a kamado grill last year and tossed this in the cart with it. I'm absolutely amazed at how effective this product is. I'm so sad I spent years using lighter fluid. You grab a charcoal starter tower and this thing and never look back. Takes 30 seconds to get the tower going with no additional chemicals needed. You can also use it to relight charcoal remains in your grill (with the combined built in blower). Also amazing for fire pits!

My Kamado has a slot in the front for an electric coil lighter to slide in below the charcoal. I've been lighting it that way for years and while kind of slow, it worked just fine. My original $15 coil lighter finally died. Enter the Electro Torch at roughly three times the price. So now after loading charcoal, I simply light from the top in one or two spots depending how quickly I need to get going and whether high temp grilling or lower temp slow cooking. Bottom line, this thing is fast! Holding it in one spot just touching the charcoal, maybe 30-45 seconds on switch position #1 (low air speed but extremely hot) and there's a good base of orange burning charcoal. Then, flip the switch to position #2 for another 30 seconds and you've got higher air flow turning that little pile of orange into a flaming blast furnace. Pretty simple and quite fast. As others have mentioned, the switch is a momentary rocker, meaning that you must hold it in either #1 or #2 position to make it work. Release it and the torch shuts off. That's not really a big deal and I totally get why they do it. Sure as heck someone would set this thing down on a wood deck and presto, a really big backyard grilling experience begins. So far I've only used it three times lighting my Kamado. I have also used it once to light a Solo Stove firepit with no kindling. Granted my fuel was dry pine firewood, but the Electro Torch lit the log in seconds and had a nice roaring fire in about a minute or so. I'm giving it 5 stars simply because it works, and works very well. For the speed and ease of use, it's worth the price. It's built nice and solidly with a decent gauge protective metal shroud around the heating element. Will it last? TBD. I'll keep it out of the weather, take care not to bang it around, and then I'll follow up here if there is any reason to downgrade my rating. So far, nothing not to like!

Loved it but died just after a year and warranty
I would have 5 stars here for sure but for the fact it has died. This worked great for me and was able to light charcoals very easily following the simple directions. Yes sparks fly when you turn on the second blower because the charcoal is getting fast hot air thrown at it to make the fire happen. But it’s worth it for fast results and not having to use starters. If you still aren’t sure what to expect, imagine a hair dryer with the heating element at the very front instead of nestled inside. The heating element is hot enough to actually ignite just enough charcoal to get the hot air to make it flame. After a year however the blower part of the machine slowed to a small breeze and then ultimately died upon the next use. This made the device worthless and I threw it away which I hate to do. I am shopping for a replacement and hope to find a different brand that will last longer.

Robust and easy to use.
This is my second one, this starter is by far the best way to start a grill. I have used electric coil starters as well as the chimney starters, this method is cleaner and faster. This particular torch has the heat mode, as well as a high power blower mode to get the coals hotter quicker. It takes about 15 minutes to get a grill ready with this torch, about the same time it takes to warm up a gas grill. Simple and safe to use, the button has to be held down to work, so the torch can't be left unattended.

Fantastic
I have a bottom fed wood stove, got this yesterday and wow! Lighting same as before throw in some news papers light a match and the blower makes the process much much quicker. When stove is down to coals no need to use news papers just add wood and the blower does the job with ease. Low vs high speeds I like both as both work well for different scenarios, I still don't have enough experience to give an accurate comment. I use a Kasa smart plug as its close enough to my wood stove to turn off by hand, also I can make sure its off when I'm not home from the app. I will try on charcoal next summer.

Lo mejor de lo mejor para prender carbón. Estoy fascinado con este producto. Al principio dudaba por su precio ya que es algo costoso, pero ha sido la mejor compra. Enciende en minutos tu asador y sin necesidad de sopladores.

Will it last?
Coming from a version lighter that lasted me 2 years from heavy use. This model has a big plus : up click it heats up / it lights up coals, downclick it blows unheated air, probably extenting its life by a fair amount of time. Downside : feels a tad flimsy. I guess time will tell! A buy for now.

Start at 1
You need to place the device on top of the charcoal and set the switch to one and wait for it to ignite. Once you have a good burn going switch it to two for extra air. Doesn’t take 60 seconds like they claim, but a good 3-5 mins you’ll have a great fire going on your bbq

Only lasted 3 months!
Used it a few times per week for about 3 months and now it stopped working. When holding the torch on it auto shuts off after 30 seconds and doesn’t stay on long enough to catch the wood on fire. Before this it did work great. Sucks that it’s short term use and as far as I can see no warranty available.
