I bought the original iteration of this machine something like 10 years ago... and it finally died. I mistakenly ordered a different model from another manufacturer as a replacement - it had a cheaper price - and it lit up when I plugged it in, but it would not start the cleaning cycle. Both the lights for the 3-minute and 5-minutes cycles were lit up at the same time. So I returned it and ordered the F2900. That first night I ran a 5-minute cleaning cycle, and the feel the next morning when I put my contacts in was exactly what you want to feel... like they aren't even there. I use Monthly contacts and routinely I have been getting 2+ months out of each pair. With my new unit in use, I look for that to continue. Once again, all is right with the Corrected Vision Universe...
