Great water bottle holder
I bought this for my Syrian Hamster. The hardware that usually comes with water bottles is meant for a wire cage. If you keep your hamster in a suitable large aquarium (40-55 gallon) this is what you need. I was able to adjust it easily to her perfect height. It's very easy to remove and refill with water.

The Only Hangers I Use
These are amazing for use in bin cages or aquariums for hamsters/gerbils. These 16oz ones are the only ones long enough for bins, HOWEVER the only bottles that fit in it are the Lixit 8oz water bottles. I’ve been using these 2 brands in combination with eachother for years no issue. Highly recommend to anyone needing a bin cage or tank bottle holder! My 6 hamsters thank you!

This did not work for us at all. The spring to hold the bottle on will not stay on at all.

Does not fit the Lixit Wide Mouth 16 oz bottle
I have a wooden hutch for guinea pigs and needed something that could be attached to the wall. I got this holder, which says it's for 16 oz bottles, and the 16 oz Lixit wide mouth bottle. The bottle does NOT fit. Maybe the holder would work if you had a taller bottle, with the nozzle that points more downward. The Lixit wide mouth nozzle points more to the side and will not work with the opening in the holder. While the holder itself IS chew proof, the piggies try to pull on the water bottle nozzle and kept pulling it out of the holder. Also, the spring restraint is too high up for the Lixit bottle, which seems to be shorter and wider than other bottles. I had to use multiple twist ties to keep it in place, which is a real pain when you want to refill it. I will be getting a different bottle for this holder, and a different holder for the Lixit bottle.

It works for my (unusual) needs.
I use these as brackets to hang glass water bottles on the walls, for my free roaming pet rets. They're not a perfect fit for the bottles, but sufficient and convenient. I drill a hole, just below the pivot point rivet, through both layers of metal, insert a single screw, then insert the bottle. The bottles are well supported, and convenient to remove (for cleaning/refilling) and reinstall.

Excellent
This is perfect for hanging on my rat cage, which happens to be an old aquarium. It holds a 16 oz Kay tee bottle. Since my rats like to climb up the water bottle it keeps it from tipping or slip down.

prefect for aquariums
We recently added a pet hamster to our family and I needed a holder for his water bottle. This was perfect!! The metal is flexible enough to bend to exactly the height I needed and is adjustable if you don't get it exactly right on the first try.

Does the job...
Does the job and holds onto the water feeder for my guinea pigs, the only thing is that after a few months the paint on the bend part eventually come off, normal wear and tear I guess. It'll have a rusted look but if you take care and clean it at least once a week it'll last a good long while.
