BUY AN INVERTED
This is such a great item!! For all sorts of reasons …. but if you’re going to leave this cooler plugged in running 24/7 (while it’s off too) then i recommend getting yourself a power I nverter for it. If your spending the money for the cooler then put the cost of an inverter with the cooler cost because it doesn’t make sense not too!! My battery did die twice! from leaving the cooler plugged in over night ! The first time was accidentally but the second time was bc I wanted to see if me leaving it plugged in was really why my battery died the first time! Lol needless to say…it was deff bc the cooler had been plugged in annd running all while the car was turned off. Was fine when the cars running but who wants to leave their car running 24/7! I deff don’t recommend that!

Great so far
I purchased this cooler to store my young daughter's insulin when it is hot outside and we are at soccer practice or wherever. She has type 1 diabetes and insulin breaks down (goes bad) over 90 degrees although i've had it spoil in the mid to high 80's. We live in Southeast Texas so it gets very hot. I've now actually used it for other things as well and, so far, have been pleasantly surprised. Size: I initially was just looking for a small one to store medicine, but I couldn't really find a size I liked so for the price I purchased this one. I'm glad I got the bigger size. We have a weekend place about an hour away. If I bring food back/forth, I usually do a small cooler. This weekend I used this cooler instead. It was perfect. I was surprised to fit 1 gallon of milk, a jug of OJ, a package of steaks, a regular sized sour cream, 2 bags of grated cheese and a can of biscuits (plus 2 vials of insulin). The cooler fits nicely in several places in my Tahoe: behind driver or front passenger seats, in between 2nd row captains chairs, between 2nd row captain chair and 3rd row seat or that tiny space between 3rd row seat and rear door/hatch. It is still easy to carry when full and has a nice handle that folds down flat. Function: Example 1: 2 hour soccer practice with outside temp of high 80's. I plugged in the cooler and put in her insulin and a bottle of water (pre refrigerated about 15 min earlier). Turned off the truck. After practice I was amazed at how cool it was inside the cooler. My daughter was happy to have a cold bottle of water and I was happy to have no worries about her insulin temp. Example 2: trip to 2nd house with 1 hour stop. Outside temp was only mid 70's but it was very sunny so inside my black Tahoe I'd guess it was at least 80. Had the food described above, no ice. Arrived at house about 2 1/2 hours later. Then I forgot to take the cooler inside before I spent over 2 hours talking to neighbors. Husband moved cooler to house porch, now unplugged, and it sat there for another 15-20 minutes. I thought for sure my meat would be warm but when we took it all out it was as cold as it was when I out it in there. It is now so nice to not have to remember to grab ice and cooler on hot days out with my daughter or have my food get watered down with melted ice when traveling. Other comments: - I have not measured the temp yet but plan to buy a thermometer to keep inside for reference. - as another reviewer has mentioned, the grill covering the fan does bend in easily and stops the fan. I make sure when packing a truck load that nothing is pressing against the fan grill. - I've not tried the warm function. There is no hot/cold switch. Hot/cold is determined by how the plug I'd inserted. Plug has blue dot and red dot which you line up with an arrow when attaching the plug. I'm a little worried I'll not pay attention and insert it for hot when plugging in. I store the power cord inside the cooler when not in use. - I've never had it running with my truck off for more than about 2 hours. Have not had an issue with my truck battery. Shore up the fan cover and provide a built in thermometer (I'll pay more) for 5 stars.

Hola a todos esperamos comprar una hielera electrica pero no sabemos nada sobre el tema y buscamos en las reseñas,yo pasé lo mismo ya que buscaba algo en verdad práctico y no tan grande,que tuviera espacio para conservari comida,yo salgo en ocasiones a carretera en trabajo y por paseo,por lo cual busque varias opciones y al ver este tamaño me agrado ya que no roba tanto espacio en cajuela o detrás de mi asiento ,muy práctico te mantiene las cosas frías mientras conduces y al llegar a un lugar se mantiene por ser una hielera,y después continuas tu camino perfectamente,tu batería de tu vehículo se puede bajar si lo dejas conectado directamente (solo cuida eso) yo compré la conección electrica de 110 vlts y es muy fácil llevarla no tan pesada como las otras hieleras muy grandes ,la verdad estoy muy satisfecho con mi compa,en lo que a mí me compete muy buena calidad y excelente tamaño perfecto no estorba no para ser guardada en casa

Better not pack it full
It works, but if you pack it even half way it does not work. It needs lots of space for air circulation. They need an internal fan to move the air around.

Does not work well as a cooler.
Size and shape are good. I followed the advice of other reviews and placed cold items only. I included a cold pack for good measure. The fridge worked well while plugged in and running. However, when turned off it warms much quicker than a cooler. I would only recommend this product if you plan to keep it running 24/7.

Very practical size, not great finish
Made in Canada, as per sticker, but nothing better than any chep made in China, when it comes to assembly quality. One screw is half out, foam is visible, outer shell bent... but ok, not a good start but I have seen worse. Size is really practical for car, the handle seems solid, but it's fairly heavy already when it's empty. The external fan is in line with the build quality -don't expect a ultra low noise professional fan, this is just the cheapest thing you can find to move air. So yes, at home you can hear it very well. In the car, I don't think it's going to matter. There is a tiny fan also inside, which is barely doing anything useful apart from increasing the overall noise. Consumption is 6A @ 12V, so careful to leave it plugged when the car is not running. At home, empty, the inside got cold in about 1h. As usual for these items, don't expect that it does anything more than keeping cold what is already cold, it doesn't look like it has the power to actually cool down anything. It can warm up and cool down by inverting the polarity of the connection, which makes me suspect that there is no controller of any kind: it is just plugged to the power, if the peltier is powered on one polarity it takes the heat out, if it's powered on the other polarity it take the heat it. It's far from perfect, but at least the size is really good.

Small and compact with great space
It's great for the smaller car but still holds great amount. I also use it as overflow for the main fridge and drinks for the garden.

A MUST FOR A LONG ROAD TRIP
The cooler is absolutely amazing. The capacity, the cooling temp of the cooler made our very long road trip so much easier. Both drinks and sandwiches were kept cool with ease. We unfortunately did not try out the heating function. If it is as good as the cooling, awesome.
