This can is plastic

This can is expensive for it being made of plastic. Not a good value so we returned it

Looks small but holds 13 gallons of garbage

Love the square shape, it looks like it will not hold 13 gallons but it does. I would recommend this definitely.

The Future of Trash Cans

When the AI machine army takes over, it will be this trash can that kills me. Seriously though, it works great as advertised. You get close enough to the sensor and the lid opens for 5 seconds and then closes. Also has 2 buttons for opening (staying open with no timer), and then closing. The orange arms inside keeping the liner in place is clever and holds well without showing any liner overlap on the outside of the can. I've seen reviews of people who can't figure out or have issue with the arms (Jeremy) lol just laziness. I wouldn't recommend if you have a bad dog though, it could easily open the can by the motion detector and eat whatever's in there. It has a button to turn off the motion sensor but then what would the point be of buying this can.

Abre cuando pasas por su lado pero dificulta cdo estas botando basura se cierra jjjjj la bolsa es bien incómoda para colocar y se ensucia mucho por dentro , es para casas pequeñas con pocos inquilinos q no consuman tanto jj se ve elegante por fuera. Pero a mi me resultó fatal

Do not buy (Follow up Review)

Follow Up Review: After replacing the trash bag over the last 5 months I can absolutely say that the absence of an inner trash can is super annoying. Changing the bags out is a time consuming process compared to trash cans with an inner can that the bag mounts on. If to much trash is in the bag when attempting to take the bag out of the trash can it gets caught and tears on the can itself. Was never an issue with my old trash can that had an inner liner. Additionally getting the bag on the holder is annoying same with removing the trash bag. Opening and closing mechanic has started to fail slightly. The lid will open fine but it wont close all the way. I have to manually click the close button or push the lid closed myself the last inch. My wife still hates the sensor as it never wants to work for her when she waves her hand over it. Because the opening in the lid is so small sometimes liquids from things your throwing away get on the rim of the trash lid. This has caused the lid to not open due to getting a little big of stickiness on that rim. Its like the motor isnt strong enough to open the lid in this instance. The piece the trash bag sits on has a crack in the plastic as its not very durable. Closing thoughts are same as Initial Review. Do not buy this trash can or any trash can that does not have an inner liner you will end up hating your life and looking for another trash can. Initial Review: Bought this trash can thinking it looked cool and was excited about the auto open and close. I personally still like the open and close functionality my wife hates it. The trash opening is rather small. Find myself removing the lid when needing to throw away larger items or stuff from a cutting board. Biggest complaint I have is I've yet to not tear a bag when removing it. The bag always catches on the lip of the inside of the can and tears. The trash can needs an inner box that the bag sits in that is removable. The piece that holds the bag in place is not easy to put a bag on. In general this trash can is a pain to use and my wife and I hate it too the point we are looking for a new one.

better than i thought

its fast quiet easy to clean . wish it had handles on the sides and wish it had a bigger opening overall . My biggest complaint is that is closest to you soon. It doesn’t have a sensor to know that you’re still emptying food in there. It closes on you and that’s annoying.
