Very comfortable, but not completely protective

I bought these gloves to protect my hands from I'm gardening because I don't like it when dirt and other organics get underneath my fingernails. These gloves are very comfortable and don't make my hands sweat too much, and they're aesthetically pleasing. But -- although I knew they were partially composed of fabric -- I was surprised to see how much dirt actually gets through the glove material and onto my hands. This isn't a huge dealbreaker as it mainly occurs on the palms, but it does somewhat defeat my original reason for purchasing gloves. I'm giving four stars because other than this, they seem okay.

Excellent gloves for gardening

These are the best gardening gloves I've ever used. They fit well and are durable. They seem to be less expensive in the long run than other gloves that are less than half the price, because these gloves are so much more durable. Most gloves can last while gather branches or mowing the lawn, but these gloves stand up to repeated weeding by hand, such as pulling up crabgrass with my fingertips. These gloves have lasted me all year. By contrast, I've had some gloves last only a few weeks. The palms have a durable surface that grips anything, including weeds, while the backs and wrists are an elastic material that allows the hands to remain cool while the gloves fit snugly. May 2018 update: These gloves are finally wearing through at the fingertips. They've been able to last through two full seasons, which is a long time for their low price. Now I need a new pair of gloves, and I plan to purchase another pair of these. September 2019 update: My second pair of gloves have started wearing through at the fingertips, after slightly more than a year, which is a great value for such a low price--better than any gloves that are less expensive. I will purchase a third pair.

Sweet gloves

I've been using these gloves for about a year now and I really like them. They fit well, look good, and are pretty durable. I currently use these for gardening and other light duties around the house. The coating on the gloves is just the right amount of sticky. Items feel secure and I wasn't afraid of things slipping out of my had. The backs of the glove are tight mesh that allows good air flow so my hand doesn't get sweaty and hot. The mesh does allow a bit of dirt/dust through, but not enough to make it any kind of a deal breaker. For the most part, my hands are still really clean after using these gloves. After a year, the wristbands are still tight and not stretched out. The gloves seem durable. I've pulled nasty weeds like thistle out and have had no problems. Carrying large objects is easier because the coating. I've dug holes and not worried about calluses. I think for light or medium duty tasks, these gloves are perfect.

Will no longer purchase crap from the dollar stores, these are much better

Ordered these a month ago, just finally used them today. Work just as advertised, and the sweat really does roll off them (92 degrees, rained for a few minutes before I went to the garden - humidity 100%). Takes a few extra seconds to put back on when sweaty (I needed to pull & stretch the fingers to get them back on) but I did order these to fit instead of being loose, but wore them off & on for 4 hours and my hands didn't look/feel like I'd been washing dishes all day - my hands weren't shriveled up!!! Would almost prefer these if they were wrist size instead of over the wrist (not sure if they even make gardening gloves like this?!) as I still wear a watch and sometimes a bug/mosquito wrist band...

Flexible and Snug Fit

I've used disposable gloves that tear easily for quite some time, and after seeing coworkers and others wearing chunky gloves that don't allow for finer motor movements I decided to hunt for a fit, durable pair. My hands are medium-sized. They have a snug to almost tight fit. I've used them for hours of work and they haven't fallen apart. Very flexible nitrite grip coating allows for easy bending of the hand. Little spots of the nitrite coating have come off but the fabric still keeps my hands clean and remains intact. Easy to clean. No gloves last forever but at least these ones are comfortable and last longer than disposables. I would recommend these to someone.

Amazing, comfortable work gloves.

I admit I've never owned a pair of work gloves. I always borrowed my father's or grandfather's along with whatever tool I was using with them. I was upset I couldn't find flimsy cloth gloves when I bought my own. I'm glad I couldn't. These gloves are great. They're more akin to strategic gloves the military uses than working in the yard gloves. Very comfortable and the coating on fingers and palms is great. After seeing to a few tasks that needed to be done I found myself looking around for more to do to test them out. Briars and floral poison may get your legs and feet but your hands will be well protected with these. Working in the garden or working, these are a good choice.

Perfect Gardening Gloves

I have been using my wife's cotton gardening gloves for the past several years, just because I never took the initiative to look for my own pair. I finally got frustrated with them, and started searching for my own pair. After reading reviews and visiting Walmart and Lowe's, I finally settled on the HandMaster Bella Men's Comfort Flex Coated Garden Glove, size Medium/Large. These are EXACTLY what I was looking for. They fit snug enough to maintain precision finger dexterity when working in small garden spaces, but are comfortable and flexible enough to be worn for hours with no issue. Pulling weeds is a dream. The textured fingers are like magnets for the weed roots. Seriously, if you need a pair of gloves for gardening/weeding, get these. You won't be disappointed.

Stretchy, comfortable garden gloves.

Love these gloves. The inside (palm) area is rubberized for grip and is waterproof. The backs are breathable and water-resistant. Small amounts of water bead up and roll off, but if immersed for a length of time they do let water through. What I like best is how much they stretch. I bought M/L size for men and it fits me fine, however my wife found them and they fit her smaller hand well enough to use. Needless to say, she took away my gloves for her use.
