Works great, easy install, but color fades fast

Arrived on time. Looked and worked as described. Easy one person installation. Battery cover a bit tough to slide off and took a few minutes to figure out how to switch the handles around. I’ve had it only a month or so give it take and color starting to fade on the handles. Other than that it’s pretty decent.

Decent, Not Great

The lock itself does not always go back into proper position so the device will beep like it is out of battery. After changing batteries 3 times, I finally figured out that the thumb turn for the lock was not going completely to unlock on the inside. Once I turned it a bit the system would lock again. It was frustrating. Other than that it is a decent lock. PROS: Back light is nice Ability to program multiple codes is super helpful Looks high quality Good for indoor use (I use it on a closet where we store valuable and weapons) CONS: Have to check to ensure the thumb turns always disengages or you will not be able to relock For the cost, there is quite a bit of play/wobble in the handle Need to use high quality batteries in it (I used Amazon Basics and they were worthless) Bottom Line: I'd buy it again but have the expectation of the CONS now. It is barely worth it for the price, but there are not a ton of options out there for a digital lock like this. At least not in the finish I wanted.

Matches Schlage Accent oil-rubbed bronze; watch for low battery!

I was very surprised by how well these door locks match in style and color with my Schlage Accent oil-rubbed bronze door handles in the rest of my house. The handle operation is "firm" - good spring tension, nothing loose or flimsy. The locking mechanism makes a loud but quick and positive "whirr - rapp" sound. I like the backlight on the keypad. The whole unit - key panel on one side, battery pack on the other - is a bit large and imposing. This is an observation, not a complaint. Originally, the manual lock screw would stick but it seems to have loosened up over time and now easy to turn. The lock doesn't have a low-battery indicator. Instead, it simply beeps as if the wrong code was entered and fails to unlock. It's a little disconcerting because I thought the memory got wiped. Keep the spare key handy _outside_ the room.

2 purchased and broken in a year.

These started out as a great solution and worked well at first but both failed in the same way - with the unlock mechanism. It can lock you inside your house with a completely frozen door handle. Obviously not safe. The manufacturer sent me 2 replacements and only 1 worked out of the box. Now they are pretending I don't exist and ignoring my efforts to address the other handset that is still not working. Extremely frustrating. Not sure anyone wants to roll the dice on being locked in or out.

Spend the extra and buy the Kwikset one

So the lock works great it's easy to install just like any other lock. locks like any other lock. uses a code like any other lock. but there's a couple of things that I don't like, and will unfortunately be returning it. One of the things is you can only used to handle one way to open the door. you have to unlock it to open door/ leave.

Lock shorted out in first month

Had to call a lock smith within the first month bc the touch pad wouldn’t open the door - he reset the lock and made us extra keys because clearly the touch lock function can’t be trusted and it only came with one key. So it basically defeats the purpose - could have just put a regular knob on for 1/2 the price or less. Bummed.

Swapping handles was difficult

Good product but it was difficult for me to swap the handles around. Support was very responsive but still not as easy as it should be.
