Voor nieuwe installaties: gebruik met National's #294 scharnierbanden. Als vervangend onderdeel: gebruiken met National's 292 Bold Hook. I use these by drilling diagonally across 6x6's
I have used these for a couple of very large gates. One is a double 10' gate on rollers (20' total). I drilled diagonally across an 8x8" post. Going in diagonally allows you to cheat a bit by tightening or loosening the nuts to align the fence and correct sagging. I also used this on a dual 6' gate (12' total). Drilled diagonally thru a 6x6 to do the same. It's overkill but nice to be able to adjust without having to move hinges.

Good bolt. Actual bolt matches its specification. Be careful, I thought a single order would get me two Bolt Hooks because they are typically used in pairs. Not the case. I had to order a second one to finish the job. No deception involved, I just didn't read carefully enough.

5/8" x 12" Bolt Hook = 1/2" Pin
The quality is great for this particular item. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because this product listing does not offer guidance as to the pin size, which ultimately will determine how well your gate will hang. The 5/8" x 12" bolt has a 1/2" pin. If you are in need of a 5/8" pin, look for a 3/4" x 12" bolt hook, which is the only size between the 5/8" and 7/8" sizes shown in this listing.

Good product
I use these hinges in outdoor applications such as gates for my garden and main front gate. The long threaded shaft makes it easy to adjust the pin to compensate for changes in the gate and post geometry as the weather ages them. My only issue is that it is difficult to shop on the Amazon web site for these items. My solution has been to go to the National Manufacturing web site, shop for the size, shape, and specification that I need, then note the part number and model number; then use that part number in an Amazon search query. The correct hinge part pops up every time and I know all the details from my visit to the OEM web site that sells through retailers such as Amazon, but not through their own site.
