Consider you chances of removal first.
I like the drill guides but they are only used if the bolt is broken below the surface. The drill bits are left handed but when I received my kit they were dull and unusable. I used mine for the first time on a broken exhaust manifold bolt in a aluminium head (M8, 1.25) it did not remove it but the extractor did not break either. It twisted and I was able to work it out of the hole and drill and tap. I will use this set again but, I recommend you be reasonably sure that the bolt will move. The design of the extractors is such that they will not back out. They are driven in and appear to grip VERY well. Also, the fact that the adapter slides down the extractor to the surface is a plus; it reduces torque flex on the extractor.

THE EXTRACTORS WERE SHIPPED PROMPTLY. THE QUALITY WAS GOOD . GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A SET FOR METRIC BOLTS I HAD A PROBLEM USING THEM ON METRIC BOLTS. THEY WERE TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL TO USE SOME OF THE GUIDES.

great tool!
As an automotive technician,I deal with a wide variety of broken bolts. I've had a similar set made by ridgid, sold by office depot for several years and over time lost several pieces of it. Compared prices and this set was considerably less expensive, about half the price. I've used the otc set several times now and found it to be reliable and effective in removing broken bolts.I highly recommend this tool.
