Well constructed
I'm perhaps the exception, in that I did not buy this tank as an airtank. It was the correct size and the easiest way for me to get a metal container of these rough dimensions to build a new gas forge. The tank was surprisingly sturdy and made from (about) 12ga steel. The welds are all well done and I imagine the tank would last quite a while in its intended role. The dials were made from cheaper bronze-coated aluminum and are not designed to be replaceable, but if they were to fail, they could be replaced easily. I was particularly impressed by the paint, which was applied thick and took a significant amount of heat to get rid of - paint stripper took some of it off with scraping, and 3000F flame took a great deal of time to damage the paint. Had I known it would've withstood forging heats I'd probably have just left it on.

Needs a tweak
The components in this kit were nicely manufactured. However, on assembly, I found that the threaded fitting on the end of the hose was too long for the bore in the valve body. It bottomed out, preventing the shutoff valve from being fully closed. The fix was to grind/file about 1/16" off the end of the fitting so that on assembly the interference was removed. This was a fairly easy fix, but should have been caught and corrected at the factory.

Rated for 10 years, not three...
Hard to rate this. Either it works or fails. It looks good. I wish it had a connector rather than a hose attached; just something to change. One thing to note is that the images of the Discard Date is deceiving. Mine came with a 10 year date on it, not a three year one. (2023-2033). This is acceptable by me.

Looked at the store first....
All these pieces were sold at the store seprately. Added up to 35 plus bucks. Glad I took a quick look online. Air bubble is like new again.

Only needed 1 but nice to have an extra. I got it to replace my son's gauge on his pig air tank but they put that 1 on with some kind of cement. Will let him get it off, but gauge looks fine easy to read for poor eyes and sturdy built, and price is super.
