Exactly what I ordered
This product was exactly what I ordered. However, when I got it, the items I had hoped to keep in it, did not fit. So I had to return it.

Surprising Quality
For an imported product, the construction quality of this box was quite impressive. Tight seams, well-designed and removable divides, and seemingly hardy latches make this little box well worth the price. I was surprised by the compact size of this tackle box; however, it can easily hold a dozen or two medium to small lures. The positive features of this box are its rounded, ergonomic design and the surprisingly well-seated dividers, which do not slip like other products I have owned. The downsides of this container, though minimal considering price, are that it is not waterproof and lacks a durable handle or lanyard loop. I have to say the plastic-on-plastic seal is decent but by no means watertight, which the product is NOT advertised as anyway. Additionally, the only tying-off point on this box is a rather simple and flimsy looking loop that one would use for hanging an item for sale on a horizontal peg. To remedy this I tied a length of paracord around the center of the box (between the hinges) with a leader line and loop laced through the plastic hanger. Considering the price, this tackle box, the Plano 3450-23 Double-Sided Tackle Box, is well made and well worth the price.

Gap between lid and dividers
My experience is in the minority here, but may be useful for someone. I had an ancient amber 3214 Plano Mini-Magnum (at least 20 years old) that I kept drawing pen nibs in, but one of the hinges finally broke. I bought two of this model to replace that old friend, but found several things disappointing. 1. The box is not just curved on the sides, but also across the top and bottom, not too clear from the Amazon photos. Not a problem if you’re just throwing it in a tackle box, but it’s not really stackable in a storage situation; it wobbles while sitting on a table. 2. The black clips are really firm; take a lot of effort to open. Maybe they’ll soften a bit with regular use, but I can see a scenario where struggling to open them could spray the contents everywhere. 3. My real problem with the design is that the included dividers, which have to be inserted manually, don’t sit flush with the lid. There’s about a millimeter gap between lid and top of each divider. As a two-sided box, when closed it obviously should be able to handle being flipped or being held at any angle, but unlike the 3214, I find my pen nibs jumping compartments with minimal handling. This would definitely be a problem for anyone with thin items (washers, fine fish hooks, etc.). Otherwise a solid box, but the gaps are a deal-breaker for me.

Perfect size for my ultralight tackle in my kayak where ...
Perfect size for my ultralight tackle in my kayak where room is very limited. I trust the closures, they are tough. with my last tackle box I felt like it was only a matter of time before it was going to pop open and I would have a mess, or a tragic loss of my Rapala lures into the lake. I am so obsessed with Rapala lures, and they are spendy!!! I would like there to be a more secure way of attaching a caribiner or rope to it. I keep everything tied to the kayak just in case. There is a hang tab at one end but it seems more like it is made to hang the box from a store shelf and less like a secure anchor. Regardless, it is of great quality for the price. The compartment dividers snap very tighly into place and the compartments keep even tiny things in their place. I love to be organized and don't like my swivels ending up in the wrong compartments, etc.

I don't fish but I LOVE these very well made Plano boxes
I just keep finding stuff to put in these great little boxes. I got a new rifle in a new caliber and outgrew the slightly smaller Plano box that I used to organize bore cleaning brushes and other gun cleaning equipment, so I upgraded to the next larger size. I keep sharp end mills and various cutting bits for my CNC router in these boxes in the shop. I love that I can see my stuff at a glance so I don't need to label anything. WYSIWYG! I also love the high quality plastic that is apparently unbreakable (I've tried!), and I love the very secure double latches on each side. The hinges are rock solid too. I've bought a lot of different Plano products and in every case, Plano = WIN. The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that entropy increases over time in any closed system. Plano boxes are reversing the entropy in my region of space by getting my doo dah organized!

Nice size for a flybox also
I have several of these, and use them mostly to hold flies for flyfishing. I fish mostly saltwater, some bass/panfish, so most of my flies are fairly large and fit very well. Being double-sided, this box will easily hold 10 to 20 of most flies in each side, keeps everything well organized, and gives a decent selection on hand without carrying around a large tackle box or a bunch of smaller boxes. I fish from a kayak mostly, and this size box is a good compromise between too big and too small. Holds enough to give a good selection that will last all day. Compared to the cost of a lot of flyboxes, this one is a real bargain. It isn't waterproof, but is splash and drip-proof enough that I can have it sitting on my kayak all afternoon without getting damp inside.
