A Great Purchase
I am very happy with my purchase of this Megaphone. I serve as a Director for a Childhood Cancer Fund and each year we hold a 5k Run/Walk where I have to make announcements to a large group of people in the great outdoors. When we started, I purchased a megaphone I figured would do the trick from Harbor Freight. The price was right, but what a disappointment. I like a lot of their stuff, but this wasn't one of them. After struggling though for about 5 years, I finally decided I had had enough. I reviewed several online and came across this one on Amazon.com. As soon as it showed up, I could tell it was high quality, but it proved even better when we conducted the 6th Annual Run/Walk. My announcements were clear and loud. For the money and the quality, I definitely rate this a best buy...

Use 8 instead of 6 batteries. -2nd. Much harder than the original. -3rd. Instead whistles a fire siren. 4th-quality audio speech disappointing. ---- etc. ... ----- I speak because I already have one of the original and I wanted to buy another one for the new reserve. ----- Such vendors should AMAZON punish and prohibit the sale forever. ----- ***** Sorry I can not send it back. Does the job as long as you don't crank the volume too high. Horn is highly sensitive and prone to Feedback.

Loud. Works as expected. Uses 8 c batteries. This model does not have a handle so you must use carry strap or hold it around the horn and under your arm.

I am a Youth Pastor and I had purchased this to replace a megaphone that had quit working. We use them for events when we have sevral loud teens running around. The problem was - and this was partly my fault - I had no reason to use it when it had arrived until about a month later - when I went to use it it didnt work - the speaker/cone would produce sound (siren worked) but the mic was busted and it wouldnt amplify your voice. Because I waited so long to use it I am stuck with it but regardless - it didnt work when it arrived.
