Nice, not perfect

Comparing the several similar calipers this is the nicest. Elegant even. Also, having both inches and Metric is useful. But like some things from India, final polish of the groove to slide smoothly is left for the buyer to do. Try silver polish or similar mild abrasive to make it slide smoothly. I made a mistake when the slider was badly stuck upon arrival. I gouged the white scale and discovered it is a decal that peeled back at the end. It took a lot more force to break loose the slider but then it opened and slid properly. With the scale on the slider disfigured, I considered this sufficient reason to request an exchange. I'll handle the next one more gently.

If you're looking for a small gem calipers this is the one to buy. It even has an adjustable tension. Quality product at a great price.

Simple - but

This is a really simple tool which is what I wanted. I am using it to measure wood I mill from logs so it is plenty accurate for my purpose. Looks durable. But It is hard to read, and the line to read an inside measure is marked "OUT" & the line marking an outside measure is marked "IN" !!

What a great small indicator..Fits right in your pocket pen holder...

I purchased one and after getting it I ordered a few more to give to my friends. A great easy to read tool for measuring..Wonder how I got by without it!!!

Not useable out of the package

NIce looking, but will need a significant amount of work to make it useable. The sliding caliper is very roughly machined as is the channel it slides it. You will need to carefully sand and polish it just to make it so it doesn’t take two hands to open and close. Once you’ve done that it seems to work okay, though you will want to be careful not to take too much off while completing what the manufacturer should have done. Compared to a good caliper and the measurements seem the same so useful if you’re willing to do some work.

Great for what it is

If you are a professional machinist (as my father was), this is not the tool for you. But for us regular folk, it's great.

Use it for measuring watch lug and band widths. Small and classy looking while still being accurate!
