Great idea, needed a little help to perfect execution
Like others have said, this is a wonderful addition to an RV shower, AFTER addressing the tendency to flop around. I added 2 rubber washers to each of the two middle joints, and one plastic washer to each end joint (found at the local small-box hardware store). This mod made just enough friction, so that the rod only moves when someone does it on purpose, but is not stiff. Would be perfect if the manufacturer put an adjustable friction hinge in (at least) two of the joints. This is an expensive rod, and for the $, they should have addressed this issue. Also note: do not necessarily reuse the holes that the existing rod was mounted in. On one side of mine, the rod was screwed into a stud, but on the other, screwed into nothing. I moved the mount to the nearest stud, and filled the old holes. When pulled out, the rod adds considerable depth to the shower. And we've already used it as a drying line for bathing suits, pushed inward so they drip inside the tub, not on the floor. All said, a worthwhile improvement to our 40" wide RV shower.

its worth the price, trust me
This is EXACTLY what i was looking for for my 35 inch shower stall in my small bathroom. The shower curtain used to suck in and it was very uncomfortable to try to wash your hair without it touching you. I had looked online forever for a curved bar for a shower stall.. and i could not find one that fit small showers. This thing is awesome. This added nearly a foot of elbow room. It is a brushed nickel color and goes great with other fixtures in the room. It is made from real sturdy metal and where it adheres to the wall, it is metal and it is solid! It was a bit tricky to install.. (had to pre drill because of the proximity to the shower stall..hit fiberglass etc.) and installing it without a second pair of hands is also tricky- but do-able. I was nearly scared away by the cost of this thing- but seriously, this is a situation where it is worth the cost.. you get what you pay for here. I was also a bit scared or the geometric look of it. like "how are the shower rings supposed to smoothly slide on that thing?" But i when i got it i was so relieved that it slides just fine. I use the metal shower rings with the little metal balls on the top.. for reference. I would recommend this again and again.

A must for campers!
This is our 3 camper, and 3rd extend-a-shower! We have removed glass doors out of 2 of those campers. Just pop off the top of the shower doors (usually 1 or 2 screws on each end very easy). We leave the side edge metal and bottom for extra water barrier but if you pay attention to where the shower curtain is then it won't be an issue. The shower in the camper will be so roomy it will be worth finding a place for those doors to be stored!

Solves out tiny shower stall issue in our house!
Wish we had found this years ago! Our master bath has a tiny shower stall (no tub) and this worked wonders. Our rod has to be attached above the stall so I have always needed 78” length shower curtain and then just cut the width. Same shower curtain fits and no problem staying inside the little shower curb. It gives us so much more room in the shower - we really don’t deliberately push the rod in - sometimes it moves a bit when I get too forceful opening or closing the curtain, not a big deal (Shower rings sometimes get caught in the rod joints and I tug a bit.). Great rod - solves our ‘tiny shower stall’ issue.

Great item for small camper bathrooms
Gain the shoulder room for showering, and not lose it at the sink in small camper bathrooms. Very easy to install. Fits perfectly in my 38" wide shower opening.

Great product, but needs some improvement.
Fairly satisfied with the product. We already had a curved mount for the shower curtain. This gave us an additional 2" of sholder room. We bought this for the added benefits of being able to hang wet things over the tub. The only gripe I have is the lack of friction to keep the rod in place. I have seen where other have had the same complaints and have added o rings or washers. I will be doing this also. I looks like it is designed to have them in the pivot points, but there is nothing included. Disappointed to have to go send extra time and money to make it more functional

Great RV shower extension! Works as advertised.
Glad I found this. My RV shower is tight and this gives you a lot more elbow room. My shower opening was roughly 3" smaller that minimum specified. Was easily able to remove and cut the center bar roughly 3.5" and redrill the attachment hole. Works great!

Game Changer For Small RV Shower
I was initially looking for a curved rod to add some much needed space in our tiny travel trailer tub/shower enclosure. Hard to find one short enough. That lead me to this ingenious device. It arrived well packaged with clear directions right on the box. Due to the tight space I was working alone when putting it up. I might suggest installing the ends on the wall first and then attaching the middle rod rather than trying to put it all up in one piece as per the instructions. This thing seems very well made and fit togeither easily. I don't get those reviewers who have added washers or o-rings to snug up the moving joints. I agree the ends are loose and can rattle when they move but this has no effect on the operation or functionality that I am aware of. I presume it is made that way on purpose. Our shower now seems twice as wide and we are truly pleased with our new shower curtain rod. I agree with those who suggest curtain rings with rollers if you use your shower a lot or have kids. You do have to carefully thread the curtain around the rod and over the joints. It does work nicely to hang wet things directly over the tub when it it folded inwards. It's pricey but well worth the investment!
