Worked until it didn’t. What could have been
I first mounted this on the front of a T-pod and it worked perfectly. THEN we bought a larger trailer and I mounted this to the rear bumper. Traveling between Bryce national Park and salt lake on I-15 when I noticed during a fuel stop the bike rack was sagging. Further investigation revealed the pipe on one side had broke. We had two $5000 25# mt bike on our kuat bike rack. 35#. That equals 85# so I wouldn’t buy again or trust this device. We could have lost north bikes and the bike rack. Being behind us we may have never know if they had fallen off.

IMO, this product design is defective and still may be. High failure risk.
The media could not be loaded. Summary, IMO any engineer will tell you the cantilevered weight of the bikes and rack is prone to oscillation; fasteners can’t fix that and will always be the point of failure. The design shakes itself to pieces (think suspension bridge failure videos). Inspect and re-tighten all fasteners at minimum at every tank fill up. The unit I purchased has set screws opposing the fore to aft motion of typical highway pavement, causing the screws to loosen and the bike rack to deflect, sometimes violently. One of the welded set screw mounts failed, breaking away from the tubing. The model now pictured has a much larger hand operated knob replacing the two pairs of set screws. Proceed at your own risk, oscillation will also loosen these stronger fasteners. The design I have also uses a transverse bolt, does the improved design also have a pin (backup to a single fastener failure? I have made two trips, 2,000 total miles. We drove from Florida to Wisconsin. Bring tools or you won’t make it. When I got home I tore the unit off my Teardrop, committing myself to an alternate design. Instead, I ended up remounting the unit, adding two bracing running from the trailer jack mounts up to under each post as it mounts to the cross beam. We then made a 180 mile trip to a campsite. Once there, the top set screws were all loose but hadn’t fallen out. Deflection of 2”, clearly unacceptable. The lower connections were now braced and showed no fore/aft movement. Not out of the woods yet, hitting a bump confirmed a side to side brace is also needed; deflection in the rear view mirror was at least 4” side to side, unacceptable as well. The concept of this design is to move the weight of the bike support back to reduce to undue weight while allowing the teardrop front cover to open. Same concept, an alternative design is to mount the bikes lower and direct mount the bike rack to the RV frame, without attaching to the bike rack hitch. This is possible on my NuCamp Tab 320 with my TV; I have turning clearance. Further, the bike rack requires no modification and the bikes mount further back on the RV frame, further reducing tongue weight vs. this product design

Useful
Took a bit of time to install to make sure it fit where we needed it . Seems pretty strong and works well with my two inch bike carrier . Went with Swagman because of other items we've had from that manufacturer . Used a couple times now and seems to do the trick for us .

Mostly good, needed longer lag bolts
Seems pretty sturdy. Had to drill 1/4” hole to secure upright bars. I had go spend $10 on new lag bolts as the 6” bolts weren’t long enough for my Jayco. 7” was barely long enough. I haven’t tried it with bike rack yet so hopefully it’s not too close to front of camper.

Haven’t hauled bikes yet but so far great product!

Would have been great.
Like the product but was very hard to assemble due to one of the tubes being wrong. Had to pound it in with a mallet and block of wood. Does have a little bounce on the road so leave some space between your bike and camper.

Works as stated
Good product.

Works great for my 2-bike rack
This works great for our 2-bike rack. Plenty sturdy. My camper bumper is not rated for adding a bike rack so this option is a godsend. Simple enough to install; the only hassle is lifting the bikes overhead to set into place.

Good product, but make careful measurements
Description says "most RVs" this is true, it did not fit mine. The 6 inch frame was not the issue, longer bolts cured that. My problem is the length of the tongue of my travel trailer, it's very short. The swagman rack mounts to far forward on our trailer and the bikes in my rack would hit my tow vehicle while making tights turns

Qualité/prix
Utiliser pour l'avant de la roulotte(pour support de vélos), quelques minutes et le tout était installé. Leger, semble robuste.

Not made for many Holiday trailers
The worst invention ever made. It wouldn't even attach to my trailer hitch made from 6" rectangular tubing. I'm guessing they made it for 4 in rectangle tubing. The only way I can get this thing to work is it a weld it directly to my trailer hitch, what a big disappointment.

Best way to carry bicycles with an rv
Easy to install.. sturdy, good quality. Much better than the rear of rv and not knowing if the bikes are ok.
