Een frisse kijk op onze OG Swig-rugzak, deze nieuwe rugzak trouwt met iconische Timbuk2-stijlbetekenaars - voorflapsluiting en ontwerp met drie panelen - met slanke proporties, buitenzakken met ritssluiting en een nieuw zacht achterpaneel voor extra comfort. De breedte is precies goed; dun genoeg om er stijlvol uit te zien, zelfs als hij gevuld is, maar toch breed genoeg om een laptop van 15 plus werk- of reisbenodigdheden mee te nemen. Stylish but comfort & protection concerns

I bought this Timbuk2 Swig as a park pack for use on a Walt Disney World trip. Being a Gemanophile, the colors and clean lines made it look like an ideal choice for the considerable time I planned to spend in the German pavilion. Unfortunately, it isn't the most practical WDW park pack. First, there are a bunch of zippers which means more time spent going through security checkpoints. Second, the straps are nicely padded but seem to be too closely set at the top of the pack, which (even with lightweight packing) causes shoulder fatigue quicker than other packs that I've used at the parks. If you plan on using it for carrying electronics it may be acceptable. But be warned that the laptop compartment is fairly lightly padded and wouldn't accommodate today's larger laptops. It may be ideal for a convertible (e.g.: SurfacePro). It is water resistant (but not waterproof.) It weathered brief rain showers and a couple of water rides. The canvas exterior got wet, but the contents remained dry. Styling: 9/10 Comfort: 4/10 Protection: 6/10 Water resistance: 8/10 Overall: 7/10

Nice backpack

This is a very well made, high quality bag. It has a number of external and internal pockets for small items, and the computer compartment will hold a 15" laptop. The side zip is especially handy for removing the laptop without opening the top. Note that it has a slim profile. It will comfortably hold a laptop and files or portfolio. But you're not going to put all your gym clothes in there too, or possibly your lunch if its in a big plastic container The top flap closes over, but really doesn't seal. But I don't think that it will be a real problem. Looks like it should be water resistant, and fine for fair weather bike commuting. This is not really a technical backpack, but its not meant to be. Overall a good backpack. You can get larger ones for the money, but if you want a slim, well made, backpack for business, this is it.

I get so many compliments about this backpack

I owned another Timbuk2 backpack before buying this one, and with that other one, I kept losing my wallet in it because the outer pocket was so deep. It would cause many panic attacks at the airport when I would try to find my wallet. With this backpack, I love the 4 pockets on the outside. Then on the inside, I can fit so much. I carry my camera gear and DSLR in it. It doesn't have padding on the bottom, but that doesn't bother me. All of my stuff are in pouches of their own. I stick all of my nonessentials at the bottom and let it act as padding for my DSLR. The backpack doesn't really leave my back. It's so comfortable to wear. The side water bottle pocket is small. It fits my 24 oz Hydro Flask.

Slim backpack, tight squeeze at times

Nice slim backpack. Other reviews were right, the amount you slot into each compartment (whether the main, inner pockets or outer zip pockets) will limit your access to the other compartments/pockets. Stuffing too much into the inner or outer pockets will make it harder to pull things out of the main compartment - I then end up pushing stuff up and out of the pockets as I pull something out of the main. This backpack is really meant for light commuting. To combat the tight squeeze, I've downsized some things to keep my daily items less bulky. All in all, I really like the slim profile for my small frame (petite, 5'3") so it works out for me and it looks nice to boot!

Beautiful Bag

I love this bag, its got a nice slim design for those of you who like the minimalist look. The colors are great and there's so many pocket for all your needs. My only gripe is that the stitching on one of my straps has loosened and will likely fail at some point. It hasn't yet though. Pretty sure there's a lifetime guarantee on quality anyhow. Overall, great bag though.

Strap broke after 1 week

Great bag, and exactly what I was looking for. But... after using it for only a week the right strap tore apart and now I’m having to sew it back together. Unfortunately it was too heavy duty of a job and broke my sewing machine needle, so I’m having to replace that as well, in order to finish repairing the strap. I’ve never had this issue before with Timbuk2 products.

Great backpack. Not as much room as one might think but still roomy. No signs of wear. So comfy to walk around with. Really protects your laptop.

Lieblingsrucksack

Endlich habe ich einen gelungenen Ersatz für meine geliebte Messenger Bag gefunden, auf die ich wegen Bandscheibenproblemen verzichten musste. Bin nun wieder sehr gut sortiert unterwegs und der Inhalt ist vor Regen geschützt.

電車通勤用にちょうどよい大きさとデザイン

同じメーカーのメッセンジャーバッグMが気に入っていて、形がヨレヨレになる度に新型に買い換えてきたが、iPadPro11インチを入れると背中が痛くなるので、バックパック様のこちらを購入。デザイン、大きさとも、メッセンジャーバッグMをたてにした感じだが、バックパックだとiPadPro1をいれても背中が痛くならないのがよかった。また昔のメッセンジャーバッグにあって、スリングバッグ以外の最近のものでは廃止されてしまった、タブレットPC用のポケットのチャックがあるので、いちいちフラップのバックルを外さずに取り出せるのがよい。一方で、フラップにベルクロがないので、バックルをいちいち付け外すのがちょっと面倒なことがある。もちろん、同社のメッセンジャーバッグのように開け閉めする度にバリバリ大きな音がして、静かな場所ではちょっと気になることもあるが、それでも、デジカメなど頻繁に出し入れするときに、バックルをしめないで使うと、他の中身が落としそうなので、やはりベルクロがあったほうが安心だと思った。まだ使い始めて数日で降雨時の防水性が確認できないので星4つとしたが、従来のメッセンジャーバッグと同程度の防水性が確認できたら、後日星の数を修正するかも。

ウオーキング用バックとしてお勧め

以前、このメーカー（ティンバック２）のメッセンジャーバッグを愛用していました。メッセンジャーバッグは片方の肩に荷重が掛かるので長距離あるくと肩が痛くなります、そこである程度の防水性がありサイドポケットや収納性がよく大きすぎないデイバックを探していました。バックの生地は表はナイロン繊維・裏はビニールコーティングのような処理がされメッセンジャーバッグと同じです、生地から雨が内部に染み込むことはありません、小雨程度なら問題ないでしょう。土砂降りの場合は防水カバーを掛ければ良いと思います。主室へのアクセスは一枚のカバーを「ペロン」とめくるだけです、カバーはメッセンジャーバッグと同じ要領でプラスチック製のロックで「カチン」止めるだけ。背中面は蒸れやすいのでアウトドア用のデイバック同様メッシュ地の蒸れにくいパッドになっています。ショルダーベルトもしっかりしています、チェストベルトも標準装備です。私はデイバックに着替えやタオル・地図・朱印帳などを入れ旧街道をウオーキングする際にに使っています。大きいデイバックは色々と入るためついつい入れすぎてしまい旅先で重い思いをする羽目になります。徳川家康の「人生は重き荷を背負い遠き道を・・・・・」といった具合です。２泊、3泊する旅ならいざ知らず日帰りのウオーキングでしたらこのサイズのデイバックが最適だと思いました。

容量が小さいがポケットが多くて便利

防水機能があるということで2015年に購入したTIMBUK2から乗り換えで購入した。これまで使っていたほうは、日本プラス東南アジア3か国、トータル7年使って結構見かけはボロボロでもまだ使えそうだったが、さすがにへたってきたので、同じメーカーを探してこちらを選んだ。値段が安い分思ったより小さかったが、サイドにペットボトルが入るポケットあり（片方だけ）、外側に2つポケット、内部にも小さいポケット2つ、さらにメインは3層に分かれていて、こまごましたものを分けるのに便利。一番大きい部分がやや小さいが、一応14インチのノートパソコンはしっかり入るので満足。もうちょっと大きくてもよかったかなぁと思ったけど、日常生活や海外旅行の機内持ち込みには十分。
