Good Accuracy.

This laser distance meter has pretty good accuracy. From 20 distances measured, and cross referenced with a tape measure, all 20 were spot on. This also has a digital level that also has very good accuracy and you get a nice all in one unit. It comes with a nice little carrying case to help protect it when stored. It has 5 modes that can be easily switched from the side buttons. The 5 modes are: Single-distance measurement, area measurement, real-time measurement, indirect measurement and digital level. The real-time mode is nice by having the distance constantly update without having to push any buttons. Pros: Accuracy seems to be spot on. Stated accuracy is +/- 1/8 inch or about 3mm. Price. For the price, getting both a digital level and distance meter, it's a nice all in one budget tool. Charges pretty fast via micro-USB. Rubber over-molding helps prevent damage when dropping the thing The LCD screen is nice and easy to read. Even in sunlight, it doesn't seem to be a problem to me. Speed of measurements is very quick. 1st hit of the button turns on laser, 2nd button press takes the measurement. Cons: No removable battery. Internal battery lasts pretty long, and charges via USB Metal flat edge only on one side. When taking a measurement with the end of the unit (rubber) on the surface, it can sometimes be a little difficult to make sure it's sitting flush with the surface. Switching between modes is a little slow. It would be nice if this was sped up a little to improve quickly switching between modes. If used outside in sunlight, the laser can be a little hard to see. Only 100ft range.

Quick and Accurate for Simple Measurements

I love this measure, but it's not perfect. It's light, extremely quick, and accurate for simple measurements, meaning measurements in well-lit spaces where surfaces are reasonably bright and reasonably square. The measure struggles—or I struggle—to get accurate measurements using the triangulation tool, or to get measurements where the target surface might be set at an angle. Maybe I haven't figured out the best way to do that yet. The measure absolutely will not get accurate measurements when targeting highly porous materials, or materials which natural absorb a great deal of light. For those, consult your old-fashioned tape measure.

Just wish it had magnet like levels do

Everything is great just notice that the metal bar on its side, when using as level it’s not a magnet, but it’s great to be able just to charge it instead of having to keep using batteries

Has some (expected but disappointing) limitations

Great for all but one task I've wanted to use it for. Indoor measurements are a breeze, so long as the surface is matte. Glossy metal, TV screens, glass, etc. will throw off measurements immensely or simply not work. Makes sense and easy to work around. Outdoor measurements are all but impossible beyond 6-10 feet on an overcast day, and simply do not work in bright sunlight. So much for using this to plot out gardens, back to the wheel on a stick I guess. After about a month, my unit has started to turn itself on while in the pouch. Took me a few days to find what was beeping once per hour, but I've since spun it around in the pouch and made sure nothing was set upon the pouch to no avail -- still turns itself on, laser and all, then times out after the 5 minutes or whatever. It's currently standing upright, outside of the pouch, on a coaster in front of my keyboard here while I work. If it turns itself on like this, I will be calling Skil to figure out a solution, as this started happening mere days after my Amazon return window closed. Realtime measurement is far from realtime, and is simply a rapid series of measurements. Haven't found a use case for this. Digital angle measurement is the reason I got this unit over the roller unit, but haven't used that feature anywhere that matters, yet. Fiddling around with it seems reasonably accurate, at least. Update 1/22 - After not turning itself on randomly for a very long time, it has recently started doing that again. This behaviour seems to almost toggle itself when I charge the unit. Extremely annoying as if left untouched, it will go into a fit and deplete the battery, making it useless the next time I need it.

Muy buen producto, de mucha utilidad, ya que se puede medir distancias hasta 30 metros, se puede usar como nivel difital, trae iman en uno de sus lados, se pueden calcular areas e hipotenusas. Muy bien protegido, incluye funda, y se recarga con USB

Falta de precisión al tomar medidas , hay variaciones de hasta 1 pulgada , mejor comprar un Bosch
