Fairly solid machine!
So, I bought one of these to see how well it works and I am fairly happy with my purchase so far. I will just attempt to list the pros and cons as briefly as I can: PROS: 1) Can clean virtually any surface (even wood if you are careful and don't let it saturate the wood to the point where it starts to peel or warp). 2) Easy to move around with the wheels. 3) The attachments are fairly straight forward and easy to use. 4) Holds a lot of water for nearly an hour of steaming before it needs to be refilled and reheated. 5) Easy to switch on the steam and automatically shuts off if you release the lever. 6) Powerful enough to blast nicotine and other stubborn stains off of the walls and ceilings of an old apartment that we are cleaning (so much so the ceiling tiles I have done so far look as though they were painted compared to the ones left untouched. 7) Takes dirt off of floors (albeit with some continued effort) that are nearly 50 years old. The tiles I have done thoroughly are revealing their true color which was a bright white at one time, while the rest around them are still yellowed that have yet to be steamed. 8) Doesn't take too long to heat (roughly 15 minutes -- time you can use to do other cleaning before you steam the floors or whatever. 9) long hose (about 6 feet or so) and two extending arms aid in cleaning ceilings and other higher up surfaces. 10) Not too heavy to carry from room to room or up and down staircases. CONS: 1) There is no visible reservoir to judge the water level. The solution I have found to solve the issue of potential overflowing is to wait until the steamer simply stops producing steam. This way you know it's empty inside and then use a measuring cup to measure out 48 ounces of water (the maximum amount the reservoir can hold) and then when you add it you won't have to worry about overflow. 2) The hose, while it is long, easily twists up even after just uncoiling it. I would liken it to a phone cord in the way it twists up so easily. While it is a nuisance at times, it is not that big a deal. It does easily stretch back out and uncoil if you lift it up to do an area up high. 3) The only on-board storage is for the two tiny brush attachments that come with the machine to do cleaning of grills and grout and other surfaces that require a good stiff brush to clean. However, I just keep the other attachments on a shelf when not using them. 4) The machine only comes with one pad, which is essentially cheap terrycloth. While it is certainly machine washable or easily hand washed in the sink, it could become tiring having to do this all the time. A solution I have found that works well is to get a white towel and cut it into pieces using the pad that comes with it as a guide. These hand cut pieces works fairly well if properly clipped on and seem to even have more absorbency than the one that comes with the product. On a side note extra pads can be bought from the company for 11 dollars for three (fairly inexpensive compared to Shark steamers that charge 20 dollars for two pads). 5) When you first start to steam an initial blast of water typically comes out. Not too big of an issue either simply spray into the air or onto a towel or into a cup to get that initial water blast out of the way then you are good to go with a great supply of steam cleaning power. 6) The power cord is perhaps one of it's greatest cons, as it is only about 2-3 feet long. Again, easily rectified by using an extension cord. You can use a 50 footer as I do so that you do not have to worry about unplugging it and plugging it back in multiple times. 7) The buttons you have to depress to remove attachments tend to be a bit sticky (even after only a few days of use) just be careful to depress them completely by pushing down right on the center of them before pulling off any attachments. 8) The red light will come on quite often (sometimes less than a minute after getting the green light that it is ready to go and at max temp. This does NOT mean you cannot still use it. It may be a faulty sensor or it could just be that it fell a few degrees below the max temp, nevertheless it still works great even when the red light comes on. Do not let it alarm you and make you think you have to stop repeatedly as one reviewer stated when cleaning his floors. Overall, I am rather impressed with what I have done with the steamer so far and look forward to continuing to use it to get this apartment in tiptop shape for renting. For the price of under 100 dollars it seems to be a great option to get the job done. Don't expect miracles, but do expect to be pleasantly surprised with what things you can clean. I have done floors, walls, ceilings, windows (which it does beautifully with the squeegie attachment, might I add) tiles, wood (even though the manual says it isn't recommended -- see my comment from above regarding using the product on wood), toilet, sink faucets, stove tops, and even metal doors with great success. It also can be used on furniture (again be careful not to overly saturate the upholstery so as to prevent molding), curtains, and even clothing (of course check your labels to make sure that steam won't damage a particular fabric). I say, so far at least, that the product is worth the money and will be beneficial to you to assist with cleaning. It makes cleaning much easier and with no need for chemicals it is a very ecological cleaning option. Remember everyone has different experiences. Give the product a try and I don't think you will be disappointed. Plus, if you should find you don't like it, Amazon has a great return policy! Happy Steaming! EDIT: 2/11/13 Used this guy on my aunt's linoleum kitchen floor and it took white paint from when my grandfather painted her kitchen 8 years ago right off...every spot of paint is gone. She had been trying for years to get it off and this worked like a charm in a matter of minutes it was all gone as though it never had been there in the first place -- also it has cleaned tile floors that were 50 years old that always looked dingy and yellowed no matter what I did..now the tiles look bright white again...after these two experiences had to update this to 5 stars.

We bought this to remove wall paper
We've used this to remove wallpaper. It's great. The Wallpaper tool is very good. Just a few comments: 1- It says 40 ounces of water. The tank will hold more than 40 ounces, but DON'T fill the tank all the way because you will get a rush of hot water out the nozzle before the steam begins and trust me - that is not what you want. 2- the cap on the water chamber is unusual. They made it so that when it is hot, you can try to unscrew it but it will only turn and turn until the cap cools off. If you're in a hurry put the unit under a ceiling fan and give it a while to cool off. You don't want to add water to the unit until the unit has cooled off a little because it will cause the first little bit of water to boil and splash out of the opening. 3- when you first start to spray steam, there will be a spray of the condensed hot water coming out of the nozzle before the steam. So I point the nozzle in a direction that can stand the water (it only takes a second or two) then when the steam comes out, you point it at what needs the steam.

Clean really fast
Recently, I invested in the Steam Wagner spray tech from Amazon and am truly amazed with its cleaning power. This steam cleaner has revolutionized how I keep my home free from bacteria and germs. The slim design of the mop makes it effortless to maneuver around furniture and other hard-to-reach places. Its powerful yet gentle steam output can be used on a variety of surfaces such as hardwood floors, tile, carpet - plus its included attachments make cleaning grout or other tight spaces a breeze. What I appreciate most about this steam cleaner is that it does not require harsh chemicals, making it an eco-friendly option. The water tank heats up quickly and produces enough steam to clean multiple rooms without refilling again. Overall, I highly recommend the Wagner spray tech to anyone searching for an efficient and eco-friendly way to clean their home. It's well worth the investment; your floors and surfaces will look and feel refreshed after using it.

Great for door tracks!
This is great for sliding door tracks, which are notoriously hard to clean. Cannot say the same for my stovetop though. I normally give my stovetop a good scrub often enough that stuff is not caked on, but one time I did not wipe up a spill immediately and it did get cooked on to the stovetop (gas stove). I tried to use the firm, round cleaning brushes this came with, and both of them just had their bristles get clogged up with greasy food residue that I cannot get rid of. I've tried soaking them in hot soapy water, running them through the dishwasher...not sure how to get the brushes clean again. (They also did not do a great job on the stove top, I still had to use a cleaning agent for that after this didn't work). I have yet to use all the attachments and use this machine to its fullest extent.

Seems to clean well but lots of be desired
The steamer gets hot and has good tank capacity but each time you start steaming it sprays a little excess water which can either soak the surface (eg: mattress) or make a big puddle on the ground. For the price the unit should be better.

OK for the money
So this isn't super high end steam cleaner. Pretty much what you should expect at this price point. Takes quite some time to charge up and while using, the pressure can deplete fairly quickly. If you expect to use this for five minutes straight and maintain pressure/heat, you will be disappointed. It's good for 20-30 second bursts. Then wait several minutes for a full recharge. Having said the above. It does work great for intended purposes. Cleaned out our window sills very good and our leather couch as well. Used it in the car for several hard to reach areas like door jams and trunk jams. Cleaned the gunk out very well. Used it on the BBQ and cleaned areas of grease very well. Get some cheap microfiber cloths to either clean afterwords or dispose of totally depending on the cleaning job.

If You Are Committed To The Idea Of Steam Cleaning...
Then this unit should fit the bill nicely and is reasonably priced. I wasn't happy with the reviews or the pricing of the Shark products at Can Tire stores, and didn't find many better options at other local big box or hardware stores, so Amazon.ca to the rescue! This unit works well. Regarding some common comments: The short cord, yeah could be longer but not a problem for me since I don't have a huge home. The lack of a way to see how much water is left, yes that does bother me. I can't believe that there isn't a low water indicator or even a sight glass. I am not sure if the unit will shut off automatically if the tank runs dry. If not, I'm wondering if you could burn out the heating system that way? I think the idea of timing usage to determine water supply is ridiculous...15 minutes of what? Actual squeezing of the trigger? Or just having it on? I'm never squeezing the trigger continuously, it's always in bursts. Steam. Wipe. Steam. Wipe. That said, I can live with picking it up and shaking it a bit to hear if there's a sound of water swishing around, but what a shame Wagner didn't include something so basic in the design. Also, if you are not 100% committed to cleaning without chemicals, you may not see the value in having another clunky appliance to store and schlep around the house. It does a great job of blasting cracks, crevices, and hard to reach areas...can make short work of cleaning a stove or a BBQ, but how often will you be doing this? Wallpaper? That's almost prehistoric...I've moved around a lot but I haven't had a home with wallpaper for decades. As another reviewer pointed out, I had a glass enclosed shower stall and the steamer with window squeegee attachment did not take the soap scum off, where it was a bit more caked on near the corners. I had to break out the Windex anyways. But I think once I give it a good chemical cleaning, I can maintain it with the steamer if I do it more frequently before it builds up again. To be honest, a spray bottle with water and vinegar and a good micro fibre cloth would be probably be easier than hauling out this beast, filling it, waiting for it to heat, etc if it was just to clean a few mirrors and a shower door. You have to make a bigger project out of it. Like the entire bathroom(s). It's great for blasting nasties out of the joints, crevices, and hinges of the toilet, and around the sink faucets, and other places where chemicals can't do much but damage... I have a feeling after the initial novelty wears off I'll be struggling to find many projects to keep this little beastie busy, but it will come in handy from time to time and I do want to minimize the use of chemicals. It wasn't all that big of an investment. So in conclusion if you are trying to get rid of the chemicals used in your home, I firmly support that initiative, although it's not perfect, this is the way to go!

More powerful than expected
Has more stream pressure than I expected, will run about 45 minutes when full. I've been using it to clean parts for my car, a 34 year old Fiero. Using the brass brushes and spraying with degreaser in does a pretty good job.

Worked half-decent.... until it became dangerous.
The media could not be loaded. Product worked moderately well until it turned into a projectile (*see video). Luckily this happened while I was spraying towards the cement and not within the car's interior. Unfortunately, I had to do this every single time in order to clear out the boiling hot water that collects within the tube (I also tried elevating the machine in hopes that gravity would clear out any water left behind, but that didn't work).... Turns out, I wasted half of the distilled water in the tank just from clearing out the lines; or you could just spray boiling hot water all over the vehicle's interior and likely cause damage, or possibly injure yourself. Not impressed, requested a return as soon as this happened. Not worth the money considering the parts are cheap plastic that cannot hold up to the pressurized steam. Only got 3 cycles/uses out of it. Most of the gaskets were worn out as if the machine had been used for years... purchase at your own risk, I was lucky to have not ruined a customer's vehicle for my detailing business.
