MADE IN CHINA. Not Germany as listed by Amazon.

I am very satisfied with this product. I was looking to purchase a similar product from a French manufacturer whose products I am familiar with. I would have purchased that instead but I was deceived by the description by Amazon which stated that this item is made by BK (of Holland) in Germany. I wanted to try that brand. Knowing that BK is outsourced to China I will not buy this brand again. My gripe is that I feel that Amazon manipulated my decision to purchase this item by providing incorrect information on purpose. Does country of origin matter? To me it does. It's called pride of ownership. The four stars is for the product itself.

This feels like a 20.00 pan, in no way shape or form is it worth the price.

My skepticism proved to be unfounded

I've grown quite skeptical of carbon steel cookware, mostly because it's much higher maintenance than one is led to assume. I've already given away 2 carbon steel frying pans that simply weren't up to snuff. So I was pretty certain this paella pan would be another fail, especially given the moderate price. It appears to have proven me wrong. It's easy to clean and fairly low maintenance. The heat distribution is pretty good and the large size makes it a versatile solution when you need a bigger pan. Recommended.

wish it wasn't pre seasoned. it would have saved a lot of time

I have an 11inch bk pan that I love, so I just bought this 15" paella pan. It arrived and I did not realize it was pre seasoned. The wax coating refused to come off, I had to scrub with hot water soap and brillo and it still didn't remove the wax coating completely. The pre seasoned coating was poor quality and flaking after cleaning the wax out. So I took the time to completely remove the coating, 1/3cup vinegar and fill 3/4 with water boil for about 20 minutes completely removed everything to bare metal, I then began my seasoning procedure for cast iron and it now has a beautiful layer of seasoning and is quite non stick, it heats beautifully, and sits flat on my stove. It is lovely to use, just be prepared to do some serious elbow grease at the beginning.

Exactly what I was looking for my brick oven.

Great pan! Works fantastic in my wood fired brick oven. Made 6 racks of lamb so far and they all came out great.

When it first arrived I thought it was going to be too big, but after using it a couple times I am very happy with the size.
