Seems to work. Dialed in. Notifications in app work.
Holds a fair bit of dry food. Wifi connection worked fine on our 5Ghz network via the app setup. A little unclear during setup if once the wifi icon stops blinking, it’s still connecting as long as you started the process while blinking. Answer is yes. The food drops a little slower than the PetSafe feeder we had before, but that’s fine. Cats shouldn’t be inhaling kibbles anyway. I had taken our previous standard single feed amount for 2 cats (1/8c each, 2x daily) and weighed it and then tried a few dispensing amounts on the Petlibro to see which reached closest to that weight. For us, 2 units equals about 34g dispensed. So the unit = 10g isn’t very precise or universal. These kibbles are fairly small. They get that twice daily as usual. If it becomes unreliable we may increase one feeding to 3 units. The wifi has yet to disconnect on me, in a few days. We’ll see how that holds up. The alarm notifications for empty feeder, failure to dispense show up just fine in the app but I haven’t seen them pushed to my iOS notifications yet. Not sure if I just didn’t notice during the one day and night we had it on but empty, before we switched over. I’ve checked the app permissions and it seems like it should push alerts just fine. I don’t plan on using the recorded voice feature. It seems weird to hear ourselves played back every time it feeds the cats. The long battery springs are yes, odd, but didn’t pose much of an issue with installing batteries. It recognizes when those backups are charged or not, which is nice. My main complaint is actually a structural design issue. The way the hopper body slides over the feeder mechanism isn’t sealed in any way, like the refill lid is with a silicone gasket. Like, why the heck would you seal the top but not the bottom… *where kibble dust and debris will fall*? Hopper slides over the base and latches fine, but would it have been so hard to put a gasket between these 2 pieces as well? That’s also an easy route for ants if they happen. But so is the spout, so maybe that isn’t a solvable issue without having a sealed door between hopper and chute. Other minor complaint: the splitter angle sticker peels off easy and clean from the bowl holder. The sticker on the lid does NOT. And using any solvent up here after removing and being left with a gluey residue, will probably start dissolving the lid surface. Why??? Why is the adhesive more strongly attached to the lid, and yet they look like the same kind of stickers? Why does the lid plastic start dissolving and smearing badly when using acetone or Goo Gone? This is NOT a good set of material choices on the company’s part, whatever the cause. After getting a replacement lid, I just covered the lid sticker with another sticker to hide it. Cats took to it right away when they realized it produces food. Much smaller footprint than the big converter belt non-wifi PetSafe brand it replaced. Now we can manually feed or pause feedings without fiddling around with feeder buttons and strange press-sequences to accomplish tasks. So far so good (1 week).

A Lifesaver: Routine Feedings and Portions for your Lovers of Routine
We don't have family nearby to help us with our fairly new fur baby, and on the verge of an out of town trip, decided to splurge to get this feeder so we could know our new family member was well taken care of in our absence. The app was a key reason I purchased this feeder over many others, and I loved I could record my voice to let Lester, our cat, know his food was ready. More so than our voice, the sound of the kibbles hitting the stainless steel bowl emit throughout the house, and he has caught on quickly that it's meal time when it occurs. The app also allows you to do scheduled feeds or manual. We did a manual feed the first time to just see how it worked. The portion sizes are in grams, so for US imperial system users, a quick conversion is that each portion is 10 grams, and 10 grams is approximately 1/8 cup, which was perfect for us to break his daily food allowance down into four portions, as he gets sick super easily with meal times. I used two pieces of wood to prop it up to keep his neck straight also. This is where, however, I took a star off for portions because I would have preferred to have had more control over the serving size. They are set up to where you can do multiple portions at once (so it looks like 1 portion, 2 portions, 3, etc. -- it's a slide), and it says each is 10grams, but I think it would be nice to be able to set the grams yourself, like I'd like you to dispense 15 grams. You can't do halves or quarters. It's just 10 grams x however many you want. Does that make sense? For us it works, but I can see how for others it may not. Using the app was easy and once it's all set up, you can remove feeding your cat from your daily to do list. The feeder is small, but it holds a good bit of food--more than the tin container I'd gotten from Target Dollar Spot for our counter, I think. Overall, I highly recommend, and I think it's well worth the price if you are in a situation like ours where you need the ability to feed your pet while you're away, or even in the middle of the night (like us also).

Peace of Mind
This is a great product, very easy to set up with an app available through the App Store. A feral cat arrived at my door last year. I was very concerned about 2 things, keeping him well fed and keeping him warm in the winter. Through the app, the feeder will dispense as many servings as you desire. It also allows a feeding schedule to be set up. The feeder is like a vault, other than the food in the bowl that has been dispensed, this feeder is secure from wildlife, in particular the raccoons. They simply cannot get into the feeder. The controls on the feeder itself, used for manual feeding require a 5 second hold on the button to unlock the manual feed button. This prevents the very clever raccoons from feeding themselves. The Petlibro feeder along with the double insulated, heated “Kitty Tube” have set my mind at ease. Walter Matthau the cat now lives outside and inside, still insisting in eating outside from his Petlibro feeder. The feeder has a microphone which records your voice for a call to dinner. When Walter Matthau hears my recorded voice calling him, he comes running. The Petlibro customer service team is AMAZING! I had questions regarding the blue tooth set up. Joyce responded to my email immediately and continued with the conversation until my problem was solved. I would definitely recommend this feeder!

My holiday saver even more
Good feeder for our 2 cats. Nice outlook and is easy to use. Spent a few minutes doing the settings and connecting the network via the App. Everything is under my control, able to feed my cats by schedule or manually. when I was on holiday or working, I can check the bowl of the feeder all the time through my home camera so that I can amend the quantity of food for my cats instantly if in case. I'm not worried about being out of food. Peace of mind.

Guter Futterautomat mit nur zwei kleinen Makeln
Wir sind mit dem Futterautomaten für unsere zwei Katzen soweit zufrieden. Sowohl via App, als auch über das Gerät lässt er sich gut bedienen. Die Portionsgrößen sind gut und die Geräuschentwicklung bei der Ausgabe ist noch auszuhalten - unsere Katzen sind davon zwar nicht begeistert, aber auch nicht komplett verschreckt. Auch die Vorratsgröße ist gut und bei drei Ausgaben am Tag mit je zwei Portionen reicht der Behälter gute zwei bis drei Wochen (Futternuggetgröße M - ca. 6mm). Auch die Anzeige am Gerät bei leerem Vorratsbehälter ist gut und das Gerät ist standardmäßig für Toucheingaben gesperrt, so dass man das Schloss fünf Sekunden lang halten muss, damit es entsperrt. Nach einiger Zeit sperrt es wieder, so dass die Katzen und auch die Kids da nicht einfach dran rumspielen können. Bei uns läuft der Automat über Netzstrom. Ein Batteriebetrieb ist auch möglich, aber von uns bisher nicht getestet. Was mich aber stört: 1. Die WiFi Verbindung wird in der App oft als offline angezeigt und es dauert, bis er sich wiederverbindet. Man muss zwar nichts machen, aber doch gefühlt ewig warten. 2. Die Metallfutterschüssel wird unter die Haupteinheit geklemmt: Rein geht leicht, raus nicht. Man muss das ganze Gerät anheben, um die Schüssel zum Reinigen rauszunehmen. Im Gegensatz dazu sitzt der weiße Kunststoffuntersetzer nur locker im Gerät. Das heißt, dass beim Anheben der Haupteinheit das ganze Geschüssele rausrutscht. Hier hätte ich mir eine feste Verbindung zwischen Haupteinheit und Untersetzer gewünscht und nur ein lockeres "drinliegen" der Futterschüssel.

Grundidee ist sehr gut, Umsetzung mangelhaft
Habe diesen Futterautomaten für meine Katze gekauft. Lässt sich nur sehr schwer ins Wlan einrichten (man muss schnell bei der Passworteingabe sein, sobald der Automat die Tastensperre aktiviert geht es nicht mehr in der App). Dann kann man alles gut in der App einstellen. Großes Manko: Sobald man nicht zuhause ist, steht in der App das der Automat offline ist. Er spendet trotzdem Futter aber wenn ich manuell noch eine Portion Futter ausgeben möchte geht es nicht. Die App meldet, dass man in der Nähe vom Futterautomaten sein muss - trotz dauerhafter WLan Verbindung zwischen Automat und dem Internet.

Works well with dry cat food.
I have used the food dispenser for a few weeks now and it works flawlessly. Once the unit is set up on a WI Fi network it is easy to monitor the feed intervals on a smartphone with the App (free download). The feeding schedule is also made simple and easy to do on the App. My cats have become accustomed to the feeding times and run to the bowl when they hear the food hitting the stainless steel bowl.
